I purchased this sofa bed because my mother was coming to visit for 3 1/2 weeks, and while I have a guest bedroom, I did not have a guest bed. First of all, I just want to say that my mother is approaching 80 and frail, and she *loved* this sofa bed. The three large rectangular cushions are firm but very comfortable and retain their shape, whether you're sitting or sleeping on them. The metal pull-out bed frame that supports the cushions is sturdy and well made, and yet the cushions are firm enough that my mother never felt the metal supports at all. She slept so well and was so impressed with the sofa bed cushions that she decided that her mattress at home was much too soft, and plans to buy a firmer mattress. Converting it from a sofa to a bed and back again every day for 3 ½ weeks was so easy, even my elderly mother was able to do it unassisted. The sofa isn't very high off the ground, which made it perfect for my mother, who is only 5’ tall. When seated on larger furniture, her feet often dangle off the ground, but when she sat on this sofa, her feet were firmly on the ground. I'm a lot taller than my mother—5’8—but even I found it comfortable to sit on. I appreciate the fact that all the cushion covers could be removed and washed, especially since I purchased the beige one. Even Scotchguarding the fabric won't be 100% effective against stains over time, so knowing I can just throw the covers in the washing machine if they get dirty gives me peace of mind. Many other people have remarked on the velcro straps that secure the metal frame inside the sofa so that it doesn't slide out when you're moving it. For some reason, the manufacturer decided to stitch the scratchy "hook" side of the velcro straps onto the fabric of the sofa frame. This causes the linen-fabric-covered cushions to be snagged by the velcro hooks every time you remove them or replace them. Over time, this will certainly cause the fabric to pill and stretch, weakening the fabric until it tears. What's even more odd is that even though the hook and loop strips are both the same size, the way the loop strips have been sewn into the sofa frame makes it so they don't completely cover the hook strips when the sofa bed is closed. So no matter if you're removing or replacing the cushions, the fabric snags on the hook strips. I remedied this by simply cutting the loop strips off the metal frame entirely, then used them to completely cover the hook strips. When I'm feeling more ambitious, I plan to use a seam ripper to remove the hook strips from the inside entirely. If/when we have to move the sofa, we'll just tie the metal frame together to keep it from sliding out. It would be easy for the manufacturer to fix this design flaw as many people have mentioned it. Why they haven't done so is a mystery to me. Others have mentioned having difficulties in assembling the item, but we didn’t experience any issues in that area. I will say that the 4 square throw pillows that come with the unit are pretty underwhelming. Those could definitely be a lot thicker. I don’t love the plastic cupholders that are built into the armrests, as I think they look sort of cheap. In my opinion the designers should get rid of those altogether. But I do appreciate the concept of the built-in USB charger, as it allowed my mother to sit on the sofa and use her phone while simultaneously charging it. I just wish the port were in a less conspicuous area, maybe on the back of the armrest. Still, it’s absolutely a quality product for the price, my mother was very comfortable sleeping and sitting on it, and I have no regrets about purchasing it, and no qualms whatsoever about making it available to future guests. ... show more

This is a perfect couch if you are needing something temporary or not used often. Pros: Its a great couch. Not difficult to assemble by ones self.Hnot big and fits in small areas. Great for studio/dorm living. Easy to move and not too heavy. Cons: After over a month of use, the cushions have sunk down so the edge of the part to pull it open digs into the leg when seated. Its flat padded surface is uniformly supported and flat, making it a better option than any futon, even if you may want to add a memory foam mattress topper for extended sleeper use. The conversion process is the highlight. With three sections that roll out easily when you pull the front forward—like a telescoping umbrella on rollers—this design beats many futons that require moving the whole piece to convert it. I would have given the item 5 stars, but they placed stickers on the fabric and it does not come off easily. I had to use several different products to remove the glue/residue of the fabric. I also dont get why the PILLOWS needed to be labled/stickered, so it was alot of extra work for no reason. The size was perfect for my daughters room. Its also very comfy for what I was expecting. My daughter and her friends use it daily. Only issue Ive had, was all the stickers. ... show more
