So I actually got this to use as the water reservoir for a hydroponics setup I recently purchased. My other water tank turned out to be too tall and I needed something that would be a bit shorter. I found this and it is the most perfect solution EVER! It tucks perfectly into the drain spout underneath the system and I will be able to mount the pump with hosing through the larger opening. I suppose only time will tell on durability and how well this works with handling long term, constant use as well as plant fertilizer, although I’ve seen plenty of forums online mentioning use of plastic for these particular hydroponic systems with zero issues, and this jug seems sturdy. Zero complaints at this point, but I will come back and update if anything changes or there turns out to be issues once the jug is filled and I have everything fully running.
