Plenty of room to protect valuables for not a lot of money. It is not extremely theft- resistant as it could be cut through, but it is designed to be fire-proof so that is what u are getting. Thus, It’s not super heavy, and can be moved by one person, and that can be important. I bought this safe for my son's birthday. He recently bought a home and every home needs a place to lock up valuables. If you've ever seen a real fireproof safe, you will know the construction is very thick and quite heavy. This safe is thick only on the door. The rest is no thicker than the walls of a basic filing cabinet. (You can actually press your finger against the metal and it will give.) As far as being waterproof, there is absolutely no rubber seals for the door or bolt holes. If you should decide to buy this safe, be sure to bolt it securely to a wall or else it could easily be carried off and no doubt opened with a drill and tin snips. And if you have valuables that could be destroyed by heat or water, then you may want to shop elsewhere. ... show more

This is a very good safe. Easy to set new code. Feels sturdy and was packaged very well. I only took off one star due to misleading measurements in the description pix. Inside measurements would have been way more helpful as a result this safe is too small for its intended use. But because it was packaged so well, I can’t repack to send it back. Will have to find another use for it. Note: I research the heck out of items like this and only found one safe in the hundred or more safes on Amazon that actually had inside measurements. After the recent CA fires, I wanted a safe place for my important documents. I’m very pleased with this decent sized waterproof and fireproof safe. It feels well made- solid and secure, but it’s light enough to carry because it isn’t very large. There’s a secret hidden key slot for opening if you don’t want to set a combination code.
