Perhaps that is a bit of an overstatement, but these panels are quite bright. I replaced two old four bulb fluorescent fixtures with these LED panels. Installation was a breeze. The connections are push-in so wire nuts are unnecessary. My installation was into a dropped ceiling so I bent the tabs up and used the support wires from the old fixtures to help hold the panels. The panels are sufficiently light that the support wires are only extra safety. As I said, the light intensity from these panels is high so they might be too much for a small space unless bright light is a necessity. ... show more

I selected the light as a garage light, since it was the only utility LED fixture listed. It is described as being for both suspended ceilings and for direct installation on a regular ceiling. The fixture cannot be used on a regular ceiling. It's for suspended ceilings only, according to our electrician. I returned it, feeling annoyed at the inconvenience and delay. ... show more

I have ordered and installed two sets of these lights. They came when promised, well packaged and undamaged. I found them very easy to connect and install. One set went in an existing drop ceiling frame. The other in a sheet rock ceiling with a 4 x 4 section damaged by a leaking roof over the existing light fixture, which had been a ceiling fan. The two in the drop ceiling fit directly in the frame and look very attractive. The ceiling is dropped very close to the rafters above, and the thin profile of these lights made it possible for the first time to have recessed lighting. The two that were installed in the damaged ceiling were thin enough to fit in place of the sheet rock. Side by side they filled the hole and look attractive with an improvised "window frame" mounted to surround them. In both cases they transformed the rooms in which they were installed.     • No instructions! Confusing install! Dimmer very difficult to install! Experts only!
We bought these to replace some standard fluorescent fixtures in an exam room. I've wired lights before and I was able to wire these, but the dimmer switch is the problem. The lights did not come with any instructions or documentation. If you're a professional, maybe this isn't an issue. I'm not. The lights installed in a couple of hours. I would not recommend this installation for someone who does not have some electrical experience. I wish I had paid for Amazon to install them... The lights work well. The color is both very bright, cool, and white. It is not a "warm" light. If not for the lack of instructions and troublesome dimmer installation requirements, I would have probably given just the lights a 4 or 5 star review. After calling their support, I was able to figure out what was wrong. To install the dimmer switch, you need a 0-10v dimmer switch (which I had). You'll need to run a gray and a violet wire to the light (making it 5 wires rather than the normal 3). The violet wire runs to the DIM + port and the gray one runs to the DIM - port. Apparently the wire gauge needs to only be 18 gauge as it is low voltage. The extra wiring is where things went wrong. I haven't installed the extra wires yet so... BTW, the support wasn't the best support I'd ever had but I've had much worse too. He seemed bored and distracted by my questions. He did get me what I hope are the answers, so I won't complain too much. While this was a bit of a test for converting the entire business to these panels, we determined that it was just easier to replace working fluorescent lights (which do not need to be dimmed) with LED replacement bulbs like the ones from Costco. The few fluorescent fixtures that had ballasts fail had the ballasts replaced with the lights that were already replaced. If additional dimmable lights are needed, we'll try another brand. ... show more

    • Light doesn’t work
After a month of it being installed the light stopped working and started to have trouble with it and it sucks that I can’t return the product after 30 days of having the light. I wish I could get a replacement or the seller to work with me.

    • Working great. Provide much more light than old fixtures
So we bought these to replace the old style 2x4 flourescent bulb troffers in our church. so far we have ordered a total of 16 of these lights and they make a big difference in the amount of lighting they provide. Everyone is happy with these. Our electrician said they were easy to install. However out of those 16 we did have 1 of the lights came bent. I contacted Amazon since the order was fulfilled through them and they gave me a hard time on the refund/return of the defective item. The issue was that since each box comes with 2 lights in each box they wanted me to return 2 lights not just one, I explained that I couldn't do that because all lights were already installed except the one. The Amazon rep said I had to return the box complete with the items so I could get the full refund. After going back and forth for a while, They said all they could do was just give me a 50 dollar refund (which I guess is ok? doesn't cover the entire cost of one light since I paid 159.00 for the set so we are out 30 bucks) So just fyi if you are buying many lights at a time make sure to inspect them and if you have a bent one like we did, keep that set aside and return the set for a full refund so you can just repurchase a new set. Other than this issue the lights are working great and I think they look great and illuminate the rooms much better than the old lights we had before. Bought these panels about 2 years ago (I used “buy again” in Amazon to make sure I was buying the same product) and on my recent order I discovered that the quality has gone downhill. The backing of the panels is different. They are made with a cheap, flimsy plastic that will probably get to you collapse and dented. Because the panels were dented, you could see the led strip through the diffuser. I had to bend these things to make them look decent. One of the panels had the junction box pulled with the screws stripped. I will be looking for a different brand next time. ... show more
