  • Great performance, thoughtful design, amazing price
These wireless Lavalier mics are such a great deal that they easily move to 5 stars. That is assuming there is still a 50% off discount code or the price remains around $20. At twice the price it's still a great product, but the value is what shoots this to the moon. For specificity, I got the android version, but it comes with an iPhone lightning adapter. That adapter works with no change in functionality or sound quality, but the additional length of an attached an adapter, on top of the receiver, makes it susceptible to being bent or pulled out and that can damage your charging port. I'll go further into that later. Now for the specifics about why I'm so happy about this set... The sound quality seems indistinguishable from a couple wired Lavalier mics I've used, but definitely seems more consistent/reliable than my other wireless version, especially past about 10 feet. These mics work perfectly within at least 100 feet. I haven't had a need to go further, but I've recorded at around 100 feet several times, both moving back and forth and consistently for extended periods. I've also been using both mics simultaneously with one being within 5 feet and the other at about 100 feet, in a room on a different floor of the house (with the door open). In playback, you can not distinguish which person was in the other part of the house. If I had a headset so we could hear each other during recording, we'd probably do that all the time. Unfortunately, we can't hear each other at that distance. It's still great to have that kind of freedom to run out and grab something or tend to something quickly in another room, while talking. If nobody could see you walk away, they'd never know based on the audio. They say this is good up to 300 feet and although is probably in prime, unobstructed conditions, and probably starts to break up close to that max, I have absolutely no doubts that there would no issues at 200 feet. I'm looking forward to that kind of consistency when traveling. Being able to have someone in two places with consistent quality will open up so many options. My existing set just isn't reliable after about 25 feet. Sometimes it works ok but if there's an environmental change, it breaks up, so we just let those options disappear from our minds. The receiver has a very simple set of buttons to select which mic you want live, or to select both simultaneously. Your selection lights up, so it's easy and obvious operation. To get this in such a small, versatile mic system is awesome. The mics are only about the size of a quarter. There is a powerful magnet backing to attach without a clip, or you can use the small magnetic clips. There are also very effective wind screens. To be transparent, I have only used the standard noise cancelling setting (default). I have not needed the reverb setting, so I can't speak to that feature. If your new to current wireless mics, know that it's truly plug and play on iPhone and Android. It's just like plugging in a wireless mic. No app or setup on the phone is necessary, although Bluetooth should be turned off. Specifically on Android, you just need to make sure the OTG (On-the-Go) functionality is enabled. This is usually automatic when you plug this in, but if not, just go to the "Settings" app > Additional settings > Connected devices (or just search for "OTG"). One of the convenience features is also a functional feature. That's the charging case. This is such a compact and sleek design that stores and charges the mics and receiver. The cool thing is that the charging case is also a battery pack that can charge both mics 3+ times or an individual mic up to 7 times. Another feature that isn't possible on many of the wireless mics is that you can charge your phone while using the receiver with a passthrough port on the receiver cable while using it. Since charging the phone will mean you can continue using the receiver, if only using one mic at a time, you can feasibly do a live with the wireless mics forever with only one charging cable. You can alternate using the mics, and also alternate charging them in the case (assuming the case is charged). The multiple charges from the charging case should allow more than enough time to fully charge the phone using the passthrough port. You can then recharge the case. Rinse and repeat. So, if only using one mic at time, even with only one cable, you can literally run a live forever. However, if you think that's a good idea, and if someone wants to see that, I promise that both sides of that coin need help lol. The only disappointment was not about the actual product. The protective plastic film over the charging case was adhered to the case. It left a stripe of adhesive that needed serious work with goo gone to clean up. That was just sloppy production after making such thoughtfully designed set. That was just a bad way to wrap up that success. Literally. WARNING ABOUT RELYING ON THE USB-C TO OLD IPHONE LIGHTNING ADAPTER (or visa versa): The version I'm reviewing is the built-in USB-C version, but the box has both built-in options listed, and the USB-C box checked. This makes me assume they have a version with a built-in lightning jack. I'm going to harp on this maybe too much, but only because when I see a great deal on a great product but only the iPhone version is available, I'm often tempted (and sometimes do) order the iPhone lightning version if it will work with a USB-C adapter and still work the same. That flexibility is the case here in reverse, with the built-in in USB-C and it even comes with the lightning adaper, but with a mic, you're usually using it for an extended period, so if you record when your phone isn't always in a secure holder (or may need to do quick, unplanned setup), I definitely recommend getting the appropriate built-in plug and then just enjoy the peace of mind having the alternate option if needed. That will prevent you from having that added risk of the extra length. The adapter holds securely, so it's perfectly fine in an pinch, but never good having anything rigid sticking out of your charging port. I have several flash drives and gadgets I need an adapter for, but only for things where I will just plug it in and lay the phone flat during use. That's just a practical thing to keep in mind if the one you need isn't available at the time you're ordering. Part of that is because you comfortably prop the phone up on the receiver without a bending force on your port, but I'd feel uncomfortable propping up the phone on the receiver if sticking out with an added adapter. Honestly, if I had no choice, and I was standing it close to 90 degrees (straight up) I'd probably do it, but if there was any angle it would be a decent amount of bending pressure and wouldn't risk that kind of sideways weight on my port. Think of using a prying bar to give you more leverage/strength by adding that extra length to the applied pressure. It's the same concept here. Keeping that in mind, if you're not always recording (or doing hands-free lives) with your phone in a holder, just wait until your correct built-in jack is available or look for this set from another seller. If you can't wait or find it, but you can't wait; as much as I love this set, I'd still recommend looking for something comparable instead of forcing yourself to regularly rely on an adapter. ... show more

  • Clever Design Works As Advertised
The compact way they've designed this is one of the best things about it. It's very cleverly packaged where most of the components are encased in one, slim, small, convenient case. The contents, which include, the transmitter, mics, and the magnets that go with them for attachment to your clothing, are all contained within this handy case that opens and closes with a secure, satisfying, closing mechanism, similar to a ball-point pen. My only criticism with respect to that aspect is that they don't include all the parts that it comes with: left out are the charging cable, the clips, the connector for Android, and the "wind screens" all of which are quite small. So, instead of being able to carry everything you might need to use with this all in one place, you have to remember to bring the box along with you. How much harder would it have been to build the case, ever so slightly larger, to be able to accommodate everything? One other important note that I need to mention is that I was not able to connect the included transmitter designed for iPhone without having to remove my iPhone 16 Pro from its case which is quite inconvenient, not to mention risky. I don't ever want to have to use my phone without it's extremely well made protective case. Many people have cases on their phones and with most designs will not be able to plug this in to their iPhones without either removing the case or getting some sort of extension adapter. They should have either made the transmitter connector longer, or included an adapter. Aside from that, however, this was easy to set up, and works well. I will say that I'm not 100% sold on the sound quality. It's not bad, and is perfectly acceptable, but the iPhone's built in mic is exceptionally good sounding on its own and, this sort of makes it sound slightly different. It's pretty subtle and most people won't notice or care but it's just something to note. There are three modes you can use for the audio: 1) Acoustic (which is probably the most natural sounding and the one most people will want to use), 2) Noise cancelling (which helps cut down extraneous outside noise but can also sound a little strange at times and, lastly, 3) Reverb which, while I applaud the effort, is actually echo, not reverb, and is so exaggerated that it sounds ridiculous unless you're pulling a halloween prank or something. There's no way to adjust the amount of reverb so you're stuck with either sounding ridiculous or not using it. Despite all of my minor criticisms, I'm still giving it 4 stars because it essentially does do what it says, is cleverly designed, and is reasonably priced , though there is room for improvement. ... show more

  • The Mic Drop of My Dreams (But with Magnets!)
Let me just say, I’ve tested my fair share of tiny microphones in my quest to sound like Morgan Freeman reading a bedtime story. Most of them either sounded like I was recording inside a tin can inside a wind tunnel, or required the charging schedule of a needy Tamagotchi. Enter this 2Pack Wireless Lavalier Microphone for iPhone iPad Android with Charge Case — aka, the little audio heroes I didn’t know I needed. These things are about the size of a very determined quarter that hit the gym and bulked up. Despite their petite form, they pack the audio punch of a mic five times their size (and ten times more complicated to pair). Magnetic? Yes. Clip-on? Also yes. Psychic? Probably, because they somehow just work. Sound? Crisp. Like biting into a fresh apple crisp. I even slapped on the deadcat windscreen expecting the usual audio mush — but lo and behold, it didn't ruin everything! It was like putting on a cozy sweater that also happened to make you sound better. And the charging case? Absolute genius. No more “where did I leave that cable?” or “why are all my mics dead when I finally get the cat to sit still and meow into the camera?” These mics are always ready, like a well-trained audio butler. I’m not TikTok famous yet, but when the algorithm finally smiles upon me, you better believe I’ll be lip-syncing, life-hacking, and hot-taking with these bad boys clipped on. Highly recommend — your voice deserves this level of clarity, even if your content is just arguing with your cat. ... show more
