This unit was easy to install. the battery comes out easily for recharging. What I like best is it comes far enough away from the wall to put the light where it needs to be and not cause a shadow from large frames that sit far off the wall. We went through three different picture light purchases. This one, by far met our expectations. If I leave it on a low setting all day, I can get 2 days of lighting from one full charge. It adds ambiance to any room. It's easy to put up and it has an adjustable setting. You'll want more than one.

I really didn’t know I needed one of these and now I want to get another one! I love the options for the cool or warm color and how you can set the brightness and I especially like that it’s rechargeable. The remote is handy although I’d like to see a version that had an auto on and off with timer because I want it lit for a few hours per night. This won’t hold me back from getting another one though. ... show more

I love everything about this light - except the colour temperature. If you're not fussy about the warmth of the picture light then this is a great purchase. The charge holds for days (it's been running 5 hours per day for about 10 days and I still haven't had to top it up. Mounting was easy and the magnet allows you to tilt it a bit. There is too much light bleed as expected with this type of LED, but you'd need to spend 4 times as much to get a focused beam. I have no way to measure colour temperature at my home but as a cinematographer I'm very particular. The "warm" setting may be 3000K or it may not be, but it's nowhere near my old incandescent picture lights which are around 2600 Kelvin. Side by side this one looks almost like daylight. It the end, for me, it's not warm enough to light my artwork the way I like it. I had bought two of them. One I've mounted in the kitchen where the colour temp of my other lights is a bit cooler, so it doesn't stand out as much, and the light bleed onto the walls above is less bothersome. I may try to put a warming gel on the one in my living room if I can find a way to attach it aesthetically. I'm still giving this 5 stars because there was no deceit in the desciption (even though it may be cooler than 3000K) and because it is otherwise a very nice light. ... show more

I used these for bookcases in a room with low lighting. I ordered one pair to test out and then ordered two more pair. I mounted inside the lip of top shelf. These are great because they easily detach and can be used for flashlights to look at shelves closer to the floor or in an emergency. They really help showcase your library. I would only recommend these for tall bookcases since they stick out a bit. ... show more
