I've been using this camera for a while now, and I'm seriously impressed. Especially considering the price, it's a steal! I needed a camera to keep an eye on my patio door, but I didn't have a power outlet nearby. A detachable solar panel wasn't an option because of my HOA rules. And to make things even tougher, my wife's got a ton of plants and trees, so finding a spot with direct sunlight was a challenge. I finally settled on a spot under the covered part of my backyard. I figured the sun's angle would give me about an hour and a half of direct sunlight each day, but I wasn't sure if it would be enough. Even so, I decided to give it a shot. The camera itself is really well-built. It's all metal, heavy, and has a built-in solar panel on top. The mounting bracket is super sturdy too. Setup was a breeze using the app on my phone. It took me less than a minute to get it connected to my Wi-Fi. I was surprised by how well the solar panel worked. I spent a month on vacation, and the camera never ran out of battery. Even with some cloudy days, it kept going. In fact it is almost a week I'm back and so far it is still going, no need to recharge the battery, just solar power ! The image quality is 2K, which is good enough for me. I don't need 4K or 8K just to watch my door. Plus, the night vision is surprisingly good. It can easily illuminate the area around my door from a distance. Overall, I'm really happy with this camera. It's a great value for the price, and it does the job perfectly. I’ve attached some pictures to show the image quality, the zoom capability and the night vision. This is a very unique camera in my opinion. Very compact with consolidated solar with a big punch. The clarity is awesome. The colors viewing is very vibrant. I just love the size of this camera along with the options to mount. All in one without daggling wires. The price is right. Easy to install and connecting to the wifi appears to extentsive. I can pickk the wifi up at an extreme distance from router. The camera so far working flawless with outstanding performance. Again, I must admit an amazing camera for home security. The media could not be loaded. The solar panel is built in, so a nice form factor. I have it installed on an angle that isn't even the best with the sun, but it charges fully even on cloudy days. I had it lying around in my room until I had time to install it and the battery held up indoors without any sun for a few days. The charging is efficient, the battery life is excellent. I don't think I'll ever have to take it down and charge it manually if it drops too low like other solar cameras. This looks very good and I don't think I'll ever need to do that. The 2K picture quality is good. Considering that it's solar powered, it's excellent. The setup was easy and took 2-3 minutes. The app is great with lots of functions. I put in a microSD card so I don't ever have to pay a monthly fee. So far, I haven't found anyting lacking with the camera. ... show more

These cameras were very easy to set up and install. They didn't require any maintenance or charging for weeks. I will say you'll want to keep an eye on battery levels and the cameras connection because if they go offline you'll have to go out and power it back on. The power button is on the under side of the camera underneath a rubber protective cover. I had no issues with battery life or connection when the sun was out everyday but a couple days straight of no sunlight took them offline. The picture quality is above par and the features are great. You can set the lights to activate upon motion, you can activate a siren, and even two way talk to the person via the app. Overall I'm very impressed with the battery life and the ease of use with these cameras. If you're looking for quick and easy low maintenance solar cameras these will work great. ... show more

PROS * Solar power works well and allows you to place this outdoor wireless camera anywhere. * App is intuitive to use and easy to activate the camera. * The camera can be mounted unconventionally (I have mine upside down with the solar cells pointed downward), and it still charges fine and works! You can flip the video right side up in the app. * Surprisingly long battery life! Has no problem getting through cloudy days. * Sensitivity settings allow you to control how often the camera triggers capture to conserve battery. * Day and night image quality is decent at 2k. * Takes an SD card so cloud service subscription is optional. * Speaker/mic for communicating through camera works well and has volume controls. * Good build quality. CONS * Does not come with an AC adapter. Would be nice to have out of the box option to hardwire the camera so it can be plugged in. * Downloading videos from the camera to local phone through the app is clunky and often fails.
