I was looking for a solution to keep an eye on things when I’m not in a room, so I picked up this LUMAISLE 2K 3MP Indoor Security Camera and it’s honestly been way more helpful than I expected. Setup was pretty straightforward, and it connected to WiFi without any drama, which already put it ahead of half my smart devices. The picture quality is really clear. The 2K resolution makes a noticeable difference, especially when checking in on my cat, who apparently spends most of his day sleeping in different positions. The night vision works great too, so even in low light I can see what’s going on without guessing at blurry shadows. One of my favorite features is the two-way audio. The setup for this little device was somewhat easy, however, the print on the instructions is so small that I was unable to use them at all. I would need a magnifying glass unfortunately. So I had to sort of wing it based on my experience with previous security cameras of this type. For the features, it is a simple device, with one main camera that handles motion detection and has an ultra HD output setting that I found somewhat blurry if attempting to read items with words in the video output, but appears to handle quite nicely even with that little bit of grain for images - people, dogs, and other objects. This particular indoor security camera is listed with 3MP, and I will add that while it does detect, it does not follow or move in any way on its own, nor can you pan around in any way in the application. It is a set, direct camera view. Wherever you place it is what you'll see. I did enjoy the fact you can "listen in" to the room - that was really cool. You can also set it to receive motion detection alerts on your phone. Another cool feature. The design is aesthetic with no additional frills. It has the main camera lens area which is placed onto a swivel stand that moves up and down. I did not find that it moves left to right, so you will need to place it correctly at setup. The bottom can be swiveled for mounting onto a flat surface, or used as a stand. There are no real buttons or options on the device itself except for one 'reset' button underneath. The gadget accessories includes a sturdy metal pin that can be used here. To connect, I first plugged in my device straight out of the box, and downloaded the app via QR code in the written instructions booklet. The device started saying something on repeat, but I was unable to fully understand at the moment of setup. I proceeded to connect my WIFI to the device - and only knew it was the correct item as it generally pops up right away when in close proximity. I connected to that and went back to the app, which has you setup a username / password. It's a little weird here how the words are stated, but your username will be your email address, and the password is whatever you setup there. Login was quick, and it walks you through the process from there in-app. At some point during setup, it will ask for you to login to your home wifi. I questioned this at first and made me a little paranoid as I could not remember if previous motion cameras had asked me for this step. I logged in anyways. There is a paid service to use the cloud to store footage, photos, etc., but you can opt not to sign up for this. Overall, I love this for popping in to check on my pet at home. It's small enough to fit anywhere, but completely viewable - so it's not great as a hidden camera type of thing. I like it - it's simple and I can see my little puppy from work. That's all I really need!

This is a great and affordable indoor security camera for a kids’ room. We already have one in one of my children’s rooms, and I wanted a replacement for another room, so I decided to go with this one and I’m very glad I did. The setup was quick and easy, which I really appreciate. The camera looks very nice and works exactly as advertised. The video quality is clear, the night vision works well, and the two-way audio is very helpful for checking in or talking to the kids. The motion detection is responsive, and it gives peace of mind whether you’re using it as a baby monitor or just to keep an eye on things. For $19, you honestly can’t beat this. It has all the features you need at a very reasonable price, and it performs well right out of the box. I definitely recommend this camera, it’s a great value and works perfectly.

This camera exceeded my expectations. The 2K/3MP video quality is very clear, even at night with the night vision. Motion detection alerts are quick and accurate, and the two way audio works great. I love that it supports both 2.4G and 5G WiFi and offers cloud or SD card storage options. Setup was easy, and the picture quality is excellent for the price. Highly recommend for home monitoring or as a baby or pet camera.

FYI: I received this as part of the amazon vine program. Also, price is a factor -- as of the time of this review, cost is 13.99. Which makes up for some of the flaws. At 19.99 (normal price) your mileage may vary. The good: 1. Easy to setup via their app (easy to find via a supplied UPC code). Works with both 2.4 and 5ghz (I have eeros -- so it works with mesh). 2. Voice prompts from the device ensure you know next steps etc 3. USBC 4. Small device and easy to find a place for it 5. Quick setup Bad 1. App does not feel professional and wants you to buy add ons, When you say you no, it tries to make you feel bad 2. Due to the app not feeling professional, I am not confident of the security. At the very least, I would not place on your main network (use guest) 3. Picture is ok -- it is 3MP and that is low 4. App isn’t fully intuitive and feels like a one off (as compared to ring etc)
