I've had various propane fire pits, some of which sit on the ground and some which sit on a table. This is my first embedded as the table. When it arrived the box looked like it had been rolled across the country and given how cold it was outside I decided to build it just inside my back door. That way I could also check each piece. Much to my surprise, everything was ok and I only found one minor scratch I'll easily solve. There are no tools included, but the hardware provided only requires a Phillips head screwdriver The instructions say the fire pit is aluminum, but if so then it's some sort of aluminum/steel alloy because everywhere is magnetic (just like my truck). It's also heavy enough the box is labeled for 2 people to lift it. I'll admit I built it myself. It's simply a process of building the legs upside down and setting them onto the top and securing it. The top is all one unit. There are lava rocks included in 3 bags. The igniter is electric which is just a button you push and it arcs while you're holding the button. The knob to turn on and ignite the unit is inside the door so that it's out of sight all other times. It also requires you to push in the knob to turn it. I can make arc igniters work just fine, but I'm not a big fan of them if there's any breeze whatsoever. I end up always having a long lighter handy that I often use instead. The 20lb propane tank (not included) will sit inside. I was initially leery of that then realized I've never had the same concern on a propane grill. The heat level of 50,000 BTU is enough to drain a 20lb propane tank in one evening. Keep that in mind as you plan ahead. Depending on how much you plan to use it, you may want to keep a spare always handy. Fire pits are more about ambiance than heat. If you are trying to heat your patio, there are more effective methods. I do enjoy a cheery fire though.

This fire pit table has been a great addition to my patio and works well as both a heat source and a functional table. The 50,000 BTU output puts off strong, even heat and easily keeps everyone warm during cooler evenings. The metal tabletop feels sturdy and provides enough space for drinks and small plates without feeling crowded. I like that the flame is adjustable, which makes it easy to control the heat and ambiance. Assembly was straightforward and took about 20 minutes, and everything lined up properly. This propane firepit is constructed of steel, the pit is easy to assemble and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The basket weave design looks great on the 4 side panels. The tank and controls are located behind the door, the igniter needs a single AA battery to function. The burner ring is stainless and they include lava rock to compliment the flame. The tabletop has an insert to cover the pit to use the entire top as a table. The black finish looks great.

We arranged our outdoor furniture around it and have enjoyed some great evenings together. You’ll need to connect your own propane tank, but setup and assembly were straightforward. The included rocks are beautiful, and the flame looks amazing—this is definitely not an eyesore, but a stylish upgrade to our backyard. We did remove a few rocks to allow the lid to close properly, which was a minor adjustment. When not in use, it easily doubles as a small table with the cover on. Overall, it’s functional, attractive, and a fantastic addition to any outdoor space. Highly recommend. Great heat output. Very sturdy. Great value.
