Edit: (I wasn't able to directly answer the question of spacing for someone so I will put it here.) According to my measuring tape, when I measured 5 different spaces in the lights, it was 4". I even had my husband come and double check and he also got 4". I hope this helps I love these lights! They have the warm white that we were looking for and the colors we were looking for. They look perfect on our fence and we had a little bit extra to wrap around a little tree. We have since ordered more because we decided to decorate the other trees along the fence as well. The lights: Bright and colorful. They also have twinkle settings, but are a little more like strobe lights so we won't be using those. There is a lovely mode that soft shifts from the warm lights to the colors that is very pretty. Also helps if you can't make up your mind which you like more, white or colors. The Remote: I think there could be some improvement on the remote. You have to be within about 10ft away and can't have anything in the way for it to work. For example; we can't change them while inside the house. We have to be on our front porch and make sure there is nothing in the way. The tangle: I love the lights, but I wish we had bought a couple of the shorter strands to put together instead of the long one for our project. We ended up spending a large chunk of time, about an hour or so, untangling the lights. If I had it to do again, same brand, just a shorter length for ease of organization. Durability: I will tentatively say that these are pretty durable so far (If that changes I will come back and update the failure time) It rained the night we put them up and they are still working just fine. I was worried about all the untangling that they might have broken, but nope, all still working. I would add though that when we untangled them, we did yank and pull. We were careful enough about it. All in all Great lights. Can't wait to set up the second set when they arrive.

These lights are amazing. When I first opened the package, I thought I was sent a set of white lights. On playing with the remote control, I discovered that the lights can be white , a candlelight color, colors, a mix of the two, some very pretty color combinations, twinkle, slow to various speeds, or steady light. The brightness can be adjusted, too. I am in love with these lights, Oh, they have a six and eight hour timer that can be set to turn the lights off. These lights use very little energy, and don't even get warm. I can't wait to see them on my tree!

This doesn’t come with a remote so idk why the review questions were prompting me to answer about one. Anyways these are pretty good lights. Bright, festive, and don’t get hot like usual lights do. I purchased 2 sets to cover my 7.5ft tree because I wasn’t sure one would be enough. It was definitely enough and I wouldn’t recommend less than two if you have a similar size tree and appreciate a well lit tree. I had a small amount of strand leftover to double back and start throwing it wherever till it was used up. I’ve included photos of them straight out of the box bundled up, and then one set unraveled to give an idea of the length. They have these little cylinder type connector pieces that allow you to connect one strand to another and be able to control both with one plug. There are different settings when you click the button so you can cycle through to find the one you like best. Alright so I knocked off a star because the following reasons: 1) I wish they were a TINY smidge less yellow. The color is definitely warm white as it should be but I can’t shake the feeling that I swear my previous lights over the years weren’t as yellow in glow. It’s definitely not an overpowering yellow though. They appear a true warm white. 2) I saw in some other lady’s video that her plug was labeled with the various settings and which order they appear in when you click. Well mine didn’t have that and it would be been nice so I don’t have to try to remember or click through everything and wait to see if it’s the setting I wanted. Overall good purchase. And I would purchase again. I have mine plugged into a wifi outlet so it’s the ultimate convenience. I don’t have to get up and plug in or pull the plug every day. I have it set to turn on and off at a specific time each day. And best of all it turns on in the same light setting I had it on before it turned off. So I don’t have to keep choosing the light setting I want every time it powers up. It’s just automatically on the one I want already so I highly recommend using a wifi outlet with these! All in all I’m happy with my purchase and I hope these last because I’m tired of all the older traditional lights burning out, bulbs breaking, or short circuiting and the strand going out entirely. So led is where it’s at people! I will update if anything happens, but so far so good. And I’ve received endless compliments on our tree. Oh and another reason I docked a star is because the twinkle mode is not what we’re used to in traditional twinkle lights! The twinkle mode on these lights definitely too fast compared to traditional twinkle lights. It’s slower than regular flashing mode but still too fast to the traditional trained eye. I tolerated it for two days before I switched it to solid mode. So if you’re cool with that or plan on using a diff setting altogether, they are worth buying.

There are alot of good points for these lights but... the controller does not have a setting where there is a SLOW steady twinkling that is constant. There are setting where the lights twinkle slowly but then they transition to a fast blinking that can drive you crazy before transitioning back to slow. There needs to be a slow steady twinkle setting to obtain that CONSTANT sparkling appearance. Overall dissatisfied due to the lack of such a setting.
