I couldn’t be happier with this 2500 sq. Ft dehumidifier. I sleep in a room that has an attic in it and is an add on to a mobile home. Which means it is not insulated, or if it is it is not insulated very well. So it gets very humid in there during the summer. This 2500 sq. Ft dehumidifier was perfect to help get the moisture out of the room. Within just a few hours of having it running the room felt so much better. The air did not feel as heavy. The set up was super super simple. All I had to do was plug it in. You set what you want your humidity level to be. It is actually very very quiet for a big dehumidifier. I was not expecting it to be so quiet and was so happy that it was because my husband sleeps during the day. He had no complaints with it running while he was sleeping. Which is a major plus for us. If you or anyone has to sleep during the day and need a dehumidifier I highly recommend this one. The drainage system was also very easy, I tried out the tank. It was very easy to empty have no complaints there. I prefer the hose because therefore it is draining all of the time. Instead of having to empty the tank so often. Both are very easy to do. But I just put the hose out the window and let it drain outside. It was very handy. One of the easiest ones I’ve ever had to use. Using this thing was very easy, it was very easy to figure out. The controls are not hard at all. It took me no time to have it figured out. If you are not very tech savvy I highly recommend you getting this 2500 sq. Ft dehumidifier. Like I said it is very easy to figure out. It will take you no time to get the hang of it. It is very nice that it is so easy! I’m so glad I made this purchase. It was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I highly recommend you make this purchase too! It helped the area smell better and the air feel so much lighter. From going to musty smelling, wet, heavy air. To this was such a good feeling. I wish I had gotten it sooner! But am so glad that I did now. If you have a room/basement, or a big area in your house. That is not insulated very well, or just so humid all of the time. This will be a game changer for you. It has helped me and my husband get such better sleep. Instead of being hot and sweating all day/night. It has helped us sleep so much more comfortably. And all through the night. You don’t have to leave it on all of the time, you can leave it on for however long you want to. I left it on during the day and then turned it on at night. That was the perfect amount of time for me. It made the room feel so much better. Though it is a bigger dehumidifier, but it is not to hard to store. It it honestly the perfect size. It probably will not be as much used as we get into the fall and winter season. So it is easy to store away. Right now I have it in a corner of my room when I am not using it, then when I am I set it in the middle of the room and the hose that it comes with is just the right length to reach the window to drain. I also very much love how energy efficient it is. I had it running all day for about few days and didn’t notice much change in my electric bill. If you are looking for a very good energy efficient 2500 sq. Ft dehumidifier this is the one for you. I was very surprised with how great it really is. For the price you are paying it is amazing. Highly recommend it. This dehumidifier is also very powerful. I was able to set it in the middle of our living room, that also has an open dining room and kitchen connected. And it still did an amazing job. So like I have said if you are looking for an energy efficient, powerful, easy to use dehumidifier, this is the one for you. Get it while you can! I am sure it will go so fast for how good of a price it is. I would definitely buy again, and recommend to everyone!!

I rarely write reviews, but this dehumidifier absolutely deserves one. I bought it for a damp basement and expected “good enough,” but this thing completely exceeded expectations. Right out of the box it felt much more substantial and better-built than a lot of the cheaper units online. Setup took only a few minutes and it was running immediately. The performance has been surprisingly impressive. Within the first day I noticed a major difference in the air quality and that damp, musty basement feeling started disappearing. The humidity dropped quickly and the room felt cleaner, fresher, and much more comfortable. For a large area, this thing really pulls its weight. The continuous drain hose option is a huge win. I didn’t want to constantly empty a bucket, especially in a basement, and being able to set it up and forget about it has been incredibly convenient. If you’re using this in a basement, garage, large bedroom, or any moisture-prone space, the drain feature alone is worth it. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is. It definitely works hard, but it doesn’t sound like a jet engine running in the background. The wheels make it easy to move around, and the controls are simple enough that you don’t need to sit there reading instructions for an hour. Overall, this feels like one of those purchases where you immediately wonder why you didn’t buy it sooner. Strong moisture removal, easy setup, convenient drainage, and solid construction. The filter gave me a little trouble.

I had trouble getting the filter out but finally with a little help from my neighbor I did get it out. I had less trouble putting it back in so I would recommend it. You might just practice getting the filter in and out before you start using it so you don't spill water if you have to tilt it to see the filter. The customer service was excellent and I would buy it again. Perhaps a video showing how to get the filter out would be helpful. Now that I have done it once it should be easier because I think I know what I'm doing!

Great little dehumidifier!

This is a great, little dehumidifier! We have an older, very humid house in a hot and humid state, and it gets us down into the upper 40s low 50s humidity. As many reviews have already said, it does have a small reservoir, so we’re emptying it at least 2 times a day. It definitely pulls a lot moisture every day. We chose to get two of them, one for each floor of our 1,200 sq ft house. Definitely the right decision. Since we are emptying it so much, I am considering figuring out how to set it up for continuous drain (challenging in living spaces). I may update this later if we decide to do it. It’s not too loud when running on low. Sounds like a fan. Beeps when it’s full. Small size makes it easy to roll around and out wherever we need it. HVAC is running more efficiently. Musty smell is better. Great purchase all around.

I’m extremely impressed with this Glowells 2500 Sq.Ft Dehumidifier! I bought it for my basement, and within just a few hours I noticed a huge difference in the air quality and moisture levels. It pulls a surprising amount of water out of the air while staying very quiet, which was important since I also use it near bedrooms and living areas. The smart compressor works great and keeps the humidity at a comfortable level without constantly running. I also love the included drain hose option so I don’t have to keep emptying the tank manually. The three operating modes are very convenient, especially the dry clothes mode — it helped clothes dry much faster during rainy days. Another big plus is how easy it is to use. The controls are simple, the 24-hour timer is handy, and the unit looks modern and compact for its power. It’s perfect for basements, bathrooms, RVs, and larger rooms. Overall, this dehumidifier exceeded my expectations. Powerful, quiet, energy efficient, and easy to maintain. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with humidity problems!

Drainage port doesn't even clear a 2-gallon bucket; no wheel lock for when you need to elevate it

It appears to be more or less doing the job it was designed for, but unless you plan to use the tiny built in reservoir, it's not really fit for purpose. Given how small the reservoir is, you will probably want to use the drainage port and hose. Problem is, the unit is so small that it's drainage port sits beneath the rim of a standard two gallon bucket, which means the hose needs to travel upward to get over the rim, which means it won't work. If you want to elevate it in order to use the drainage hose with such a bucket, you will need to find a way to immobilize the unit, as there is no wheel lock. Debating whether to deal with it or send it back.
