I needed a dehumidifier for living space in my house as the humidity is usually high in the summer even with the AC. The unit was delivered quickly and set up even quicker. The unit is smaller so not intrusive in the space between my kitchen and living room. After turning the unit on, I frequently checked on the unit to ensure it was running because it is so quiet. I often forget about it because it is so quite. Thank goodness for the red light on the top that shows the water collection reservoir is full. Yet, being smaller and running quiet, the unit seems to help keep the humidity down. I empty the reservoir a couple of times a day. It pulls about 4 to 5 liters of moisture out of the air per day. The humidity without this dehumidifier was close usually between 55 and 60% with the AC. TO get it lower, I had to keep the AC several degrees cooler than I liked. But now, this unit lets me keep the AC temperature where I want it while keeping the humidity in the house at about 45%. The only suggestion I would make it that the float in the reservoir that shuts the machine off when fill is very close to the top. Picture shows that. So, makes emptying when the unit auto shuts off a bit of a challenge without sloshing water everywhere. The hose seems like a great option except where I need to unit, there is no access to a drain. Overall at this point, I'm super please with this purchase. The price was reasonable and it works very well. We will see how long the unit holds up and continues to operate at this level. But for now, for the price ... 10 out of 10 ... show more

This is best purchase that I could have made, I wished that I got it sooner. MY SEMKAP 2500 sq.ft Max 32 pints Dehumidifier is awesome. I let it run continuously,I use the drain hose and a mop bucket to catch the water. And I have to dump a whole bucket of water the next day. It is drying out my basement and the musty damp smell is gone. It is a good size and it doesn't take up a lot of space. It has a drain pan to catch the water, but I like using the drain hose that comes with it . It runs quiet and it is very reliable and effective. Love it ❤️ ... show more

So far so good, installed this little guy in my garage and you can definitely feel a difference. I connected it directly to a drain line (so it by passes the tank) and it drips all day long. With the humidity we have here in Florida, this is exactly what I needed for my classic cars to keep some moisture out of the air. It is small but the size is seems perfect as it'll tuck away almost any where. It seems to be keeping my garage's humidity in the 50s. I couldn't believe how quiet this dehumidifier is. We use these things all the time in our house and travel trailer. So I'm used to the loud noise of a standard 50 pint. We tried this one because its so small. It's so quiet, you can't tell if its working. And it works! Granted its not pulling as much water out but you can leave it on and not have to try to talk over the noise. I'm thinking of replacing all of our bigger units with these. Overall, this is a terrible unit. It's much smaller than it appears in the pictures. The "32 pints" capacity is a complete lie. I set this up in a relatively small bedroom that started at around 55% humidity and left it running over night. By morning, the tank wasn't even full yet and the humidity has dropped to 52%. Units I've tried in the past could drop the humidity by over 10% in a couple hours, so this is definitely not meeting my expectations. The water tank is tiny with no handles and located on the back of the unit, making emptying it a hassle. The fan doesn't move a lot of air, even at the high setting. In generates a fair bit of heat, which is expected for a dehumidifier, but usually heat means the other side is cool enough to be removing water from the air, which doesn't seem like is happening very quickly. I haven't tried the drain hose yet, since I don't have a place for it to drain into, but considering how slowly this unit works, you won't be emptying the water tank very often. ... show more

I’ve been using this for just over two months now and so far it’s working great. I live in the southeastern part of the United States, which is very humid in summertime. I end up emptying the collection chamber every 10 to 12 hours, so it is crazy how much this thing pulls. It can also be set up to continuous drip by using the tube and placing the unit next to a sink or floor drain. The only annoyance is that when the chamber fills or when you remove the chamber to empty it, the machine beeps (kind of loudly) three times.
