I purchased this fire place to go into this TV stand and display shelves that I’m building. It’s not finished yet but I wanted to test it out and run it through its functions. It puts out a very nice and comfortable amount of heat. I’m very happy with the flame setting and the pictures don’t really show how nice the are it has several levels of brightness and flame speed and changes colors with red orange and blue and a mix of flame color. There are some of these fire places that have all kinds of crazy color combinations and that’s fine if you like hot pink or green and neon purple flames. Not my cup of tea. I would highly recommend this heater / fireplace to anyone in need of a nice looking well made heater for a small room of 150’ to 400” square feet. I use mine in about 180 square feet back bedroom that the central heating doesn’t get it warm .

Easy to put together... feet only! And... it puts out some heat! Love it! I love the different colored flames. My favorite is the blue/yellow flame. It can stay operating for 8 hours at a time and then it will automatically cut off. I like that safety feature. It's not hot to the touch on the top and sides when it's going. Now, I wouldn't touch it where the heat is coming out. LOL

This fireplace stove is beautiful and even puts out excellent heat on the low setting in my bedroom. There's a few problems I ran into though: 1. The price. I paid over $200 and literally right after I checked out, it went on sale for $180. They must have been waiting for me to buy one to trigger a sales blitz. But truthfully, this shouldn't be more than $150 or so. 2. The remote. While I don't have any problem getting it to work, it's esoteric in operation, so you have to spend quite some time learning the behavior of how the remote works, and that's even with the instruction booklet. 3. The choice of colors. Why on earth are 2 of the 4 color slots red? That means you only have three colors to choose from. With these being likely being LED, they could have made the colors entirely programmable from 16.8 million. 4. The thermostat doesn't reflect ambient room temperature, so you have to learn the relative scale it uses. In my bedroom, if I want it to feel like 80 degrees, I have to set the fireplace heater to 90 degrees. 5. The "F" button on the remote also has a 3rd function where pressing it actually shuts off thermostat usage and hands control back over to 3-switch heater mode. The instruction booklet doesn't mention this. So in reality, the first press of "F" switches to heater mode, the 2nd press brings up thermostat mode, and the 3rd press 'finalizes' the set temperature. Bad programming 6. The thermostat controller is buggy. So this is the major problem. On mine, if say I turn on the fireplace and I like the current temperature, attempting to set the thermostat to that temperature to lock it causes the thermostat controller to freak out and switch the heater on and off every 15 seconds. VERY bad programming! The ONLY way to avoid this bug in the thermostat controller is to turn the heater fully off and make sure the room is at least 6 degrees cooler than the temp you want to set the fireplace to. Then you can turn the fireplace on, set the desired higher temp you want, and the thermostat controller will operate properly (shutting off when it reaches the set temperature and not getting stuck in an off-on loop). Edit: I'm now bumping my review down to two stars. I've had the heater for two months, and already it is wearing out. The thermostat issues just got so bad I had stop using that feature entirely. Now it's just turn it off when it gets too warm in the room. Also the animation of the flames now causes a rattling noise inside the heater, which gets increasingly louder the faster you set it. Leaving it at the slowest speed avoid most of the rattling noise. But this is indicative of cheap manufacturing and design. I got suckered by all the positive reviews when I first began researching which fireplace heater to get.

Very happy with purchase! Love the ability to choose the color of logs and flame to what appeals to me as well as the speed of the flame. I love the fact I can turn the heat off and just have the ambience of a fireplace. The timer is convenient for easy shut off in case I fall asleep.

After my almost 20 year old Dimplex stove died I knew I wanted to replace it with a stove that has features I found helpful. Adjustable thermostat, this has it. A high and a low, this has a 500w and a 1500w setting. A metal body with metal legs, again this has it. I should be thrilled right. Well here is the not so good stuff. It's supposed to be cream but its really grey. But when I opened the box I figured that I can live with it. While a lovely metal body with front glass doors the sides are just open, no glass. The remote is not the most intuitive but it can be figured out. But what makes me wish that I could return it is that it just doesn't get hot. I bought this to keep a room that averages 65 degrees F closer to 70 degrees for a few hours a night as we sit in this room. My old Dimplex could do it no problems. The cheap tiny little old stove I used while waiting for this to be delivered could do it even better (surprisingly). This cannot. After running it for almost 4 hours it struggled to stay at 67. It just doesn't blow hot. Remember there is central heat it this room I just was looking for a few degrees warmer for a short time and this fails. Not as important but the flame effect isn't great either. The system for it is ok but the garish unrealistic colors to choose from are terrible. Maybe it would work better in a tiny room, mine is 200 sq feet but it claims to be able to handle an even larger area. Shame on me for thinking "oh it works" and throwing away the box and packaging as now I am stuck with it and will have to find another option for supplemental heat for this room
