First of all, I was hesitant to purchase because the only other reviews on here were from people who received the item for free. HOWEVER, I took a chance and so far it has not disappointed. I have a cabin with a low ceiling (6'5"). . . too low to install a ceiling fan, which I need to sleep well in a room with poor circulation. So no I don't use this for camping, but for a bedroom in a cabin :). I just hung it by its hook from a vent slat in the ceiling ductwork in the bedroom. The distance between the fan and the bed in the attached pic is about 4 feet, and I felt the breeze easily set on Medium speed. Anyway, here are my stats: - CHARGE TIME: it took 5-6 hours to fully charge - RUN TIME: I ran the fan for 12 hours on MEDIUM (I did NOT use the light at all), and it still had charge left! Next time I'll turn it on high and edit this review with the run time. This fan may be a bit bulky to pack for backpacking, but if you're driving to your destination: PERFECT!! ... show more

I was going to return it because I couldn’t find the remote and thought it was missing. The remote is in the clip handle. I canceled the return four times and Amazon still hasn’t picked up on it.
