  • What a disappointment
Size: YUKAmini2-1000H
Well, we got one mowing before it disappeared. It either got lost or was stolen. The 4g module to allow us to find it is definitely recommended. The culprit was likely in the neighborhood, saw the police cars, and returned the more the next morning sight unseen. The mower itself works great.

  • You most likely want the 4WD version. First gen issues.
Size: YUKAmini2-1000H
Notes before my pros and cons below: 1. If you have 1 acre or less, this robot will take ALL DAY to completely (and satisfactorily) mow. The upside is you're not the one mowing, and it's fully automatic after you set it up. 2. Individual run times (time between charging) is not all that long from my observation (blade speed set to high, speed set to median, overlap distance set to median) 3. THIS IS FIRST-GENERATION AND HAS THE ASSOCIATED QUIRKS. To Mammotion's credit, they've constantly been pumping out firmware updates, and have a responsive customer support team. The robot does, and will exhibit odd behaviors tending to look like it's stuck thinking, or worse thinking it's working when it's not moving (mostly been updated out of the robot now as of May 2026). 4. I RECOMMEND THE 4WD VERSION. The two wheel drive version on the Yuka mini 2 1000H is powerful enough, but the driving characteristics from programming do not let it attempt to overcome imperfections. If you have a lawn that's as smooth as a golf course, this should work beautifully. If you have lumps, exposed roots, minor debris, this will get stuck, and it will 'die' in the time it takes for you to return from work. I would have saved up more for the 4WD versions had I known everything I detail below. Why I rated this low: 1. Does not handle bumps, imperfections, and clumps AT ALL. (Thinks it's 'stuck' which user often has to bluetooth control to move off of, or physically pick up to resume). 2. Does NOT like small openings (pedestrian gates). Anything smaller than about three feet confuses the robot, and makes it stop. 3. App interface (and marketing) is not clear which navigation method is most accurate (RTK base station, non-RTK iNavi method, or cell tower). Would prefer the company adds one of two options: A) add a recommendation that one or the other is most preferred for accuracy, or B) add app functionality for the mower to test within defined mowing areas which method has the best signal strength. 4. It makes an annoying beeping sequence when it runs into the smallest obstacles as it figures itself out (encounters something that causes it to pause, then sounds a beeping sequence). More annoying than anything if I want it to run during dark periods of the day without waking up neighbors. 5. It's self-check for vision typically reads as 'not-ready' if running a session outside of perfectly-illuminated hours. Whether it has an impact to precision, or functionality is debatable from what I have witnessed, but is annoying from an interface experience perspective when there isn't an explanation or recommended troubleshooting for a given warning. 6. Tech support did not want to acknowledge the fact my lawn was not golf-course smooth, and recommended I change the front, non-driven wheel. To their credit, they did send the replacement wheel free of charge to me, and were quite responsive in their communications with me. They just sounded HEAVILY restricted to following their troubleshooting script. What I did like about it: 1. The first summer I had this thing made my life really easy when I didn't have to rescue it. It took care of Oklahoma residential grass growing thick and fast from summer monsoons by having it run every other day. 2. (When it works) It's truly automatic like an indoor vacuum cleaner. It returns to recharge with an appropriate amount of battery remaining 3. The height setting does give a decent range for standard, residential lawns 4. It has survived a year of being outside in high humidity, rain, snow, scorching sun, high-winds, and hefty hail (.75" and under so far) The stickers are fading and peeling, but the robot and base station are fully intact so far. 5. The packaging is super-professional. The setup instructions could use a little clarity to describe whether you use one set of parts to set up the RTK antenna, or the other, but they do ultimately walk you through if you're patient. Setup does take a minute, but there are things different than setting up an indoor vacuum, and I don't mind the thoughtfulness Mammotion put into their app interface. ... show more
