This Nulaxy Bluetooth unit actually works really well. I was going to buy Bluetooth speakers to clip onto the visor of my 1997 Land Cruiser, and accidentally ran across these little FM xmitter products. There are many brands and models, but this one had a couple of nice features and seemed to come recommended, so I chose it. I tune it to an FM station that has the least static and no signal at all, and I pre-program that frequency to a pushbutton on my radio. The unit connects via Bluetooth almost instantly when the car is started (and a voice notifies me that it's connected), and then on a call, telephone conversation audio comes out clear and smooth. Turn it to its max volume and it may not shake the fenders off your car but it's not bad at all...and that's on a older truck, too. The only music audio I've tried so far is my "Favorites" playlist from a YouTube app. It plays them very nicely. And I can pause them with the multifunction button (and occasionally fast-forward past the ads in between each "track" by turning the multifunction button briefly clockwise...although it sometimes also skips to the entire next track). Fidelity is about as enjoyable as if a radio station was broadcasting the songs. Initially some features weren't working, until I realized that my dashboard cigar lighter is in a recessed dashboard area that's too narrow and the dashboard's plastic was holding the Bluetooth device's "light" button down. This made a number of features not work properly. So I mounted the Nulaxy device on a small extender "stalk" and it works flawlessly. Navigation audio goes silent during a phone call, but that's an iPhone thing…and it comes back automatically and quite instantly when the call terminates. Probably again per the iPhone's own behavior, navigation audio takes precedence over music audio loudness-wise, but the music audio continues playing softly in the background and then comes back to the foreground each time the navigation app stops talking. So I can listen to music while navigating, and it works fine. My strategy if I want to listen to the radio is to listen to whatever station I want...baseball game on AM or whatever...and if a phone call comes in, I just switch the radio quickly to FM and hit the radio's pre-programmed frequency button, and then I answer the call on the Nulaxy device. If I want to initiate a call, I turn the radio to the FM frequency first and then initiate the call on the phone (by typing or by using Siri commands), then converse via the Bluetooth device. The "dial last number called" quick-double-button-press works too...but only seems to work for the last call that I myself initiated, not the last call that called me and spoke with me. Not a big deal there, and that could be an Apple iPhone thing too, for all I know. I'm not sure if Siri commands work without touching the phone...but of course they still work on the phone itself. About the only small wrinkle, and it's just the nature of different signal source amplitudes and not the fault of this device, is that FM radio volume must sometimes be turned up a bit to compete with road noise...so in those cases I need to remember that I had turned the radio volume up before I switch back to the baseball game...or I may hear "Beanball!" or "Kill the umpire!" come out of the speakers really loud. (But since I'm yelling those things at the top of my lungs whenever I listen to a ball game anyway, it's hardly a big deal...) Overall this great little gizmo has it all over my original idea of putting speakers on the visor above my head -- so many limitations and complexities are simplified and improved with this approach compared to separate speakers (which would need to be manually turned on, and frequently recharged, and I'd still have to turn off or pause other audio to make them worthwhile at all). This device is a dirt cheap way of adding full-featured completely satisfying Bluetooth connectivity to my nearly-30-year-old Land Cruiser for a whopping $12.47 Black Friday sale price. Would I buy another? C'mon, man, who the heck needs two older Land Cruisers? : ) ... show more

I got this item back in August of 2025 and I had something similar many years ago when I was driving a delivery van overnight and couldn't find anything on the radio so I wanted to stream things from my phone. This thing pretty much is flawless You plug it in the cigarette lighter and it auto picked a station which I guess it already has preset that knows that nothing is usually on that frequency and then I turn my car to the right auto frequency and play my music streaming off my phone couldn't be simpler. I use it with my unlimited data which I actually get a broil affordable price on so I stream the serious satellite radio using the app and I haven't really needed to listen to the car radio for many many months. I can get local stations even a.m. and FM and then of course with serious satellite radio app I get hundreds of other stations. It's the perfect alternative when you're tired of listening to the commercials all the time and you're tired of stations that go in and out especially a.m.. The things work flawless I leave it plugged in in the car all the time and never have a problem connects automatically when I turn on my Bluetooth. The sound quality I assume is great I don't know sounds just like the regular radio domain I don't have a high definition car stereo anyway It's just the factory model and an old Subaru I drive but everything sounds crystal clear to me I'm sure it could be better if there was some high end equipment in the car but anyway I mean literally for the price of two Starbucks coffees you get this product that can do so much and never have to worry about plugging cables in or any of that stuff again. Works well enough on my old car and connects without any issues. Audio quality isnt the best and static can be heard when audio is not the loudest but sounds good enough. Very easy to use with help of the guide included in the box but volume can be soft requiring you to crank up the car volume which can be a bit bothersome whenever you accidently switch channels blasting music or whenever you turn off the car with a very short burst of loud sound. Overall good product and investment for a old car without the work of installing a screen and doing the wiring for such. ... show more

I have a 2011 Pathfinder that doesn’t have blue tooth. I’m the type person that can’t go a block from my house without music playing in my car. I’ve tried so many products that have been disappointing. I literally received this today, opened it, plugged it into my charge port of my car.. it immediately lit up and displayed the fm station for me to sync with. I dialed to the station on my car and VOILA! I immediately had music from my iPhone streaming through my car. It was that easy. And might I add.. I’m probably one of the least tekkie/mechanically inclined peeps in the planet , so I was 100% thrilled that it connected that easily and worked immediately. I've been using this in my 07 Toyota for 6 months and I haven't had a single problem with it. I personally turn my radio volume up and adjust my phone volume when I need to but I think it's supposed to sound better the opposite way. Sound is great and it has different types of plugs for phone chargers, setup was easy it just connected to a channel and it displayed the channel on the device itself so I knew which one it was. ... show more

The device itself is easy to use and I've never had problems with it's functionality. It's compact and and the design is not expectionally cheap or anything considering the price. I've had no problems with static or interference or anything weird like that. That being said, I'm pretty sure it's causing a short in cars I've used it in. It happened on one car a couple of times and I figured it was just my car sucking. But I've used it in a different car recently and had similar problems. I did not expect a whole lot due to the reasonable cost. First of all, it was more difficult to find a vacant FM station than I thought.........surprisingly difficult. I did not read the instructions due to the fact I watched a You Tube. Once I found a station that was available it hooked right up easily. Then I had a puzzling problem. Very low volume. Was just about to unplug it and return it when it occurred to me to check the volume setting on my phone. Bingo! It is now connected to two phones a Samsung S8 and a S23. Due to the fact that the AC on my 2011 Civic does not work I needed some volume! I can actually listen to my books on "tape" at highway speeds with both front windows rolled down and it is loud enough to understand the narration. If it works for a year I will be happy. If it dies in six months I will buy another one. ... show more
