This small camera is just what I needed to keep my living room are protected. We have ring cameras outside of our home but I was looking for something that I could have as a backup camera. The size just happened to be perfect to keep in a discreet place. The installation was very fast and easy, the whole process was very intuitive, and the app is very user friendly. I am impressed with the resolution and how well this small camera handles light. It even has a night mode that you can set to automatic if you need. If you want to store your footage in the cloud you can however it comes with a cost. You can store your videos locally using a micro sd card, this is what I am doing. If you want to put the camera on a tripod, you can do that too. The only thing that I would improve is the battery life, but for a camera so small like this I understand that the battery is also small, I am happy keeping it connected through usb-c.

It gets 4 stars in cute toy camera category. It would be rather 3 for what is advertised for. Unlikely to be used for a security camera. Rather slow response in the application. Requires micro SD to be independent of cloud storage service. The service is paid one. Annoying application asking to sign up for paid service every time I start application. Maybe it is matter of setup but the app is not up to level of my other camera systems. The good: small, decent picture quality for its toy class. Good for $20 gadget. Considerations: Really must be powered all the time because built-in battery lasts for an hour+. Color abberation is an issue, means that the lens shifted colors in some light conditions. White balance is an issue as well, overexposes white light when is on darker background such as door frosted glass. The application is rather slow and tries to upsell cloud storage all the time. The English in the app is rather poor, example "Cruel Refusal" option probably means decline to cloud storage offer. Deduced from from the context. Overall - Great for casual watching and recording on micro SD. $20 for a lot of fun. It is decent if you do not plan to rely on it for anything critical. The app is an issue as well.

I am very impressed with this little camera. It was very easy to set up and charged very quickly with the USB cable that is included. You just need to download an app. That is explained in the instructions. Once you have the app open, it will walk you through the rest of the set up. You do have the option of buying monthly storage for saved videos, but it is not required. The picture is very clear. I put mine on my front door using the adhesive backing. It seems to be staying on without any issue. As you can see, I have a wreath on my door and it is kind of obstructing the view, but it is a pretty clear nighttime view. You can also turn on the sound if you want to hear that as well. The camera detaches from the housing for charging.

This may be a dead listing now as it shows unavailable, but I’m leaving my Vine review anyway. I’ve got a bunch of these little cameras now. I love that the app is well made and you don’t have to pay for their cloud service (although it is useful) to use the cameras. I have four cameras on two networks and I don’t pay a dime. The video quality is pretty solid, wide angle view, it’s 1920x1080 even they use terms like ultra HD. It’s 15fps and variable bitrate, but pretty low. Compression is decent though. Audio isn’t great, but it’s functional. Battery life is limited because it seems like the IR illuminators are constantly on. If I really cared about battery life, I’d probably cut the IR illuminators out of circuit which would be easy to do. I’m perfectly fine leaving them plugged in. You can record to an SD card, which is great if you don’t want to pay for the cloud service. You can even access the SD recordings from app. There are tons of settings you can tweak for alerts and motion detection and record modes. I’ve done some network snooping on these guys and they do you a domestically based Alibaba server. So it’s like Amazon web services, but a Chinese company. These devices are DIRT cheap because they want you to pay for the cloud services, which do offer some enhanced functionality for sure. Be cognizant of what your recording and privacy though. They probably also scrape data from app to resell it, so also be cognizant of app permissions. None of that is so bad, every company including the domestic companies do this. If you just want a dirt cheap camera to keep an eye on your house or pets or property and you have WiFi and can leave these plugged in and don’t mind buying a cheap SD card, it’s REALLY hard to beat these.

The camera is very small, neat, and feels nice to the touch — really cute. Well-made and pleasant to hold. Easy to set up, the app is simple, and you can watch live video. Motion detection works and notifications arrive. The field of view is wide, picture quality is good for such a tiny device — you can clearly see what’s happening, objects and faces are distinguishable, and sound works (though not perfect). Zooming in reduces sharpness, but that’s expected for digital zoom. Colors look natural, without major distortion. Resolution feels closer to 1080p rather than real 4K. It’s convenient to keep it plugged in so it’s always online. The package includes a 4-foot cable, a small bracket with adhesive backing, and screws with wall anchors — you can just place it on a shelf or mount it permanently. For basic monitoring and in its budget category — excellent!
