The legs are adjustable, but the rail is not. It does not sit high enough on the bed. Our mattress is not overly high, so that is not the problem.

My mother in law kept falling during the sleep, and the last time she felt, she had bruises on shoulder to arm & had aches for weeks. Then we got this safety rail for her & assembly was easy - virtually none required. It's been months using this rail & she hasn't fallen from the bed, and the best part is the rail doesn't bother her sleep at all. Must get this safety rail before your loved one get injured!!!

I ordered this for my mother-in-law, who suffers from back and balance issues. She is in her late 80s and this has helped her so much. Easy to assemble, it has provided her with a way to assist when getting out of the bed. It also helps to keep her from rolling out of the bed at night. She does get up in the night to use the restroom and this provides her with extra assistance when doing so. Just what she needed.

This works great for my elderly grandmother. It helps her in getting in and out of bed and gives her stability. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy. I think it would be a great idea for someone after surgery or even during pregnancy to ease into bed or offer a stable arm when pulling yourself up in bed.

This Adjustable Heights & Extendable Bed Side Rail was easy enough to put together and there were instructions. However, a strap comes with it, I assume to strap it to the bed in order to prevent it from moving, but, the instructions do not tel how the strap is supposed t be used and I can't figure out how to use it.
