I purchased this safe to secure my guns and overall I'm very happy. I didnt want to spend $1000 plus dollars on a safe and this checked all the boxes. BLUF: If you are looking for an entry level safe that is built solid and offers a lot of perks that other similar priced safes don't, then don't hesitate to purchase this. Construction/Material: Overall, the quality of the construction is solid. The safe walls and door are heavy duty steel (not thin like a cabinet) and have a nice weight to them. The handle feels solid and secures the door nicely. The bolts are a a good size and are evenly spaced on the door, not all in the middle like some safes I have seen. The interior is lined with felt and has a removable top shelf. The gun rack is secured in place, however, do wish it was able to be adjusted to account for shorter rifles. Lock: The fingerprint scanner has worked flawless for me and was easy to program after figuring out the instructions, which were a bit confusing as others have noted. However, the company did send a video on how to program the safe which made it a lot easier. One feature that I wished they had was two factor authentication using the fingerprint scanner and pin together. You can open the safe with either option, but it doesn't require both. This means that if someone knows or guesses your PIN, they don't need to input a fingerprint to open the door. Shipping: The safe arrived on time and was very well packaged (double boxed). There were no blemishes or dings in the metal. Capacity: I was able to store 6 rifles with optics in the safe without major issue. I would say that depending on the size of your guns and accessories 7 is about max. However, I find that this is a common theme with gun safes. My rule of thumb is to always subtract 1-2 from the number that the safe says it can store. ... show more

Overall it's fairly nice. I do like the multiple ways to open and the biometrics works great. Know what it is and isn't. It's a fairly cheap, Chinese-made sturdy gun cabinet, with safe-like features. The side walls are pretty thin. This thing is NOT a true safe. It's a nicely carpeted, heavy gun cabinet with a heavy door and multiple ways to open. Any determined thief can carry this thing off pretty easily and with the right tools, easily cut through the side. I also can't fathom how this thing could possibly have a better fire rating than other, much more solid safes. 1 hour, up to 1700 degrees? I have a really hard time believing that, when rapping on the side of this thing. SO, it's not a replacement for a true safe, from security or fire protection standpoints, but is definitely a nice cabinet and somewhat worth the money (if space and weight are of concern where you want something like this). That's exactly what I needed, thus it fits the bill. You can get a full sized Winchester TS20 gun safe for $399-499, so you're buying this thing specifically due to wanting it's exact dimensions and/or lighter weight. I needed specific dimensions to fit a very specific space, which seemed to be difficult to find. This fits the bill. Definitely needs to be bolted to the wall or floor however. Last notes are that it has some little LED's that shine inside when you open the safe -- nice but they're very anemic and don't stay on very long. Better than nothing but fairly useless. You will want to add your own LED's. Also, the rifle rack is glued in place and is not adjustable -- it is pretty high inside the safe so shorter rifles/shotguns, etc., don't even reach the rack.     • Very substantial single-layer metal safe/cabinet (double-wall door) that arrived in good condition
The package looked really bad when it arrived, but I was pleased to see that it was mostly the outside box that was torn up. The paint and lock were 100% scratch free, though it appears that a small crack in the paint may have resulted from the installation of the internal lock box, or pressure exactly on that spot. Because it is completely lined, interior dimensions are smaller than the total dimensions, but a 50" air rifle with scope just barely fit in under the locking top cabinet. Because of that rifle I can't use the removable shelf. The flanges of metal where the shelf can be used are attached to the wall of the safe but they could be cut off or bent down if one feared scratches. I agree that the instructions that came with the safe for setting up fingerprints was too brief, and a little confusing, but I got it to work within a few minutes. The four pre-cut holes for wall attachment are set a few inches away from the edge of the safe, making it unlikely the safe will be able to bolt to two wall studs a standard 18" apart. (in US) I read all the reviews of this brand of safe/cabinet and was concerned about the thickness of the metal used. I was very pleased at the strength and weight of the metal. In terms of just a person with no tools, this safe/cabinet would just laugh at a person trying to kick the door in. The way the door is recessed, it is pry-resistant, so even with a five-foot pry bar, the trick would be to get the end wedged somewhere in it that leverage could be applied. There are no visible seams showing where the walls may be vulnerable. For what I paid it exceeded my expectations. The reason I keep calling it a safe/cabinet is that I feel a safe implies at least quarter-inch metal walls perfect fit door, and perhaps some fire insulation. But to call this just a cabinet misses the mark, as it is very substantial. Once it is mounted to the wall (if this fell on a child climbing on it you would never forgive yourself) you will want to add some bumpers to reduce the clanky sounds opening and closing the door makes, or perhaps some seals to reduce air transfer in and out. If you seal it you will want to get some dehumidifier packs to keep interior moisture away from your guns. ... show more
