Great iPad. I'm an Android guy, Mac OS computer user so this is my first foray into iPad OS. Great screen, really fast processor, the fingerprint reader to unlock it and auto-fill passwords works perfectly. User experience is great. M1 processor which means that it runs all of the apps and has the OS app features that the pro models that cost multiples more do and have. You can run Final Cut Pro on it for example, you can't with the Air 4.0 or any of the regular iPads. Unless you somehow feel that you have a specific need for a Pro model, save your money and get this one. This refurb machine had fairly light use, it showed 91 battery charge/ discharge cycles, so what, maybe a year or less of average use before it got traded in? Lots of life left in it and Apple charges a little over $100 to replace the battery when it dies which is a lot cheaper than getting a whole new machine. Visually it was in perfect, like new condition, not a single scratch or mark on it. Seller shipped it very quickly. Unfortunately a brick and mortar chain put them on sale new for the same price I had paid for a refurb so I could not justify keeping it. I returned it and got the new one for the same price. New ones come with 90 day trials of all of the Apple apps (Music, TV+, Arcade etc) and Apple care, refurb machines do not. The seller dragged their feet with the refund, making excuses that spanned weeks, so I had to have Amazon customer service intervene which they did, because they rock. ... show more

This review is not about the iPad Air 5th generation (2022). It is about the stellar quality of this Amazon Renewed product and the incredible value I found in purchasing a refurbished device. The iPad arrived in a generic box that was in a well-protected outer package. I inspected it immediately and found no scratches or dents that would have caused me to return it. The included accessories were not Apple accessories, but they are compatible and they do not cause the iPad to complain. The device charges fine, has 100% of the original battery life, and is impossible to tell that it was refurbished. There were no device lockouts that I had to worry about. I was able to purchase this Amazon Renewed iPad with WiFi + 5G (unlocked) and 256 GB of RAM for the same price as a new iPad with just the WiFi + 5G option. I purchased the iPad with the Asurion 4 year plan because the only real drawback to buying an Amazon Renewed iPad is that you cannot get AppleCare for it. However, even with the Asurion 4 year plan I still spent less than I would have had I bought the same model brand new. In fact, it’s like I got the 256 GB memory upgrade for free! ... show more

I really love my iPad Air I feel like it has every feature I need in my iPad. I use it constantly to take notes as a graduate student. Potentially it could be used as a laptop replacement, but I still prefer just having my laptop to do laptop things but I find it’s a great companion. From being able to hand Write notes to taking pictures and annotating PDFs and using as a second screen for my laptop while doing research and other things and the M1 chip in this makes it extremely powerful and well worth the money! ... show more

I purchased this ipad for my business, for employee use. The employee abruptly left my employment and did not remove his phone number, apple ID, and "find my iphone" from the product. Though I provided Apple with a receipt from Amazon for the purchase, they will not unlock the ipad for another employee to use until I can provide a receipt between this seller and Amazon. This seller is unhelpful, telling me they don't keep records beyond 90 days and are unable to provide any document that proves to Apple they are an authorized reseller through Amazon. Buyer beware. If you buy a refurbished, unlocked unit from this seller for business use, it's a gamble. If that employee quits after putting their personal information into the ipad, you'll have a very expensive paperweight. It is my opinion that if you sell refurbished, authorized, unlocked Apple devices, you should have some way of proving to Apple that purchases are legitimate. ... show more
