I’m overall very impressed with this little survival radio. The flip up top light is fantastic! The side light has three settings, and it’s very bright! The weather channels, come and clear! The tuning for the stations is very easy, and stations come and clear. The little strap on the top with a compass, is perfect! the wind handle for charging is very easy to turn and charges well. The on and off feature in the back of the radio to turn the radio completely off and in is a good good feature, in case you want to turn the radio completely off. Great to have communication when electricity is interrupted. Haven't had to use it yet but hope it works when needed. I have turned it on and on charged the battery through USB connection. Was able to get decent radio connection. Using the crank appears to be fairly simple. Haven't charged using the solar panel yet but trust it works as advertised. It's best if you fully charge the battery in advance. The fastest way is to plug the light into a USB charger. Thereafter you have so many options to keep it topped up. I didn't realize how dependant I was on TV and the Internet during severe weather. When our power went out during a storm, we lost both TV and our router. A flashlight for digging something out of a storage place, an emergency radio for weather broadcasts, a reading lamp when night falls at the campsite. In case of calamity, it has USB port to recharge other devices from its' power bank. And if disabled, there is an 'SOS' button with medium-loud siren and flashing light. Right now, it sits in the sunlight on my windowsill to recharge. Although I first thought the sound on weather band was poor, FM sound is surprisingly clear for such a little unit.
