  • Nice radio...plenty of features.
Nice radio. It has lots of features many don't have. Probably more than what I will ever use. Really like the display and ease of operation . The ability to change display colors is a plus. Seems to be a pretty versatile radio covering the most popular modes of modulation. Got very good reports from other stations I talked to and quickly made contacts with several operators in other countries. This may be my new favorite radio. Controls are easy to understand and pretty straight forward. Looking like a keeper. ... show more

  • great radio!
I am giving all five stars but I am skilled in how to make these work. If you are not sure what these radios are or how to install, use a shop or talk to someone that knows before buying.

  • Great radío, Very happy PULL THE TRIGGER
I will be updating this as time goes by. This radio is awesome. Got it home and immediately did the frequency unlock. It was a very tiny tiny square modern resister. My mother in law used to solder for medical equipment. She unsoldered the resister in minutes. I had her look over the board and imspect all the joints. She said they were fairly clean and she found no cracks no cold joints. Being so modern PCB construction I would assume it will last as diesel mobile. The software is fairly easy to operate. Works on windows 10 64bit. Has very nice features like swr cut off and low and high power safteys. One disappointments was the roger beep. I was hoping to beable to use .wav files to.have a custom roger beep. Its kind of time consuming to created something original because its drop down menus to select the sound freq hz and time. They could have made it an input form. If they update the app it would be very easy to implement. I won't dock a star for the roger.beep however. This rig works on upper ssb really good, I was getting over 100 watts out on the built in meter. On Am I was very surprised, this radio is very quite. RF gain almost all the way up ( knob all the way to the right) with squaltch turned off no static with NB on a 1.5 swr. I could here contacts from 15 miles away so far. Contacts so far say I sound Krystal clear and are amazed at the differences between my this and my comnex 3300zx. Thanks stryker for the great radio so far. I hope.you update the app I'd love to see a easier to use roger beep customize menu Add a copy and paste script input so users can share each others. Sorry for punctuation and spelling I'm on a mobile device ... show more

  • The new industry standard
Radio worked perfectly out of the box. Mars Mod is easy for those experienced with bench work. Everything in the description is accurate. The built in (AGC) receiver will hold strong nearby signals back from over driving the meter (and radio front end) which is a great feature. Some other sellers claim 70 watts, but that is only on SSB with the right note into the mic. The best I get is 60 watts PEP in AM mode which is perfect for my application. Modulation is near perfect and watching the signal on a scope, it is well within 5kc on either side of a channel with nice peaks and no splash over. Signal and audio reports on each mode are excellent from both close and distant stations. I well pleased with my purchase and I do believe this model Stryker has become the industry standard for techs and everyday users. One Note: Do NOT let your tech touch the controls inside when modding. They are set perfectly from the factory and turning anything will only cause you a headache and expense to get the radio back to proper condition. ... show more

  • Fantastic Radio Transciever !!
I have been the Stryker radio for several weeks in my vehicle and have been very impressed with the functionality and quality of the radio. The stock microphone is paired very well to the radio; however, you will achieve even better audio quality if a quality dynamic mic is used with the radio. I have received very good reports on the audio while using an Astatic 636L microphone with the radio ($60 at any Pilot or Love's truck stop). The radio is also paired with a Wilson 1000 magnet mount on my setup which is also an excellent mobile antenna. The radio has a large and effective heat sink (cooling fins) on the back of the radio that sticks out a bit...so be sure to check your mounting space / clearances before performing an install. Software to customize the radio is available for download at the Stryker website. The software allows customization of frequencies assigned to channels in each band as well as customization of roger beeps and radio operating parameters. (6) roger beeps may be programmed and individually assigned to individual channels. Especially nice is the ability to set operating ranges for voltage, max SWR, and max key down time...all of which serve to protect the (4) MOSFET output transistors from damage. Finally, there are few radios that look as SWEET as the Stryker SR-955HPC. There is a fairly large signal meter to the left of the face plate and the back-lighting on the face plate looks amazing...especially at night. There are several YouTube videos out there on this radio as well as other reviews, so check those out. Buy with confidence, this is a rock-solid transceiver and you won't be disappointed if you purchase one. ... show more

  • My new work radio
This is one great radio. Thay have put everytjing on this unit except the only way to ge down to the hi 16 mz you have to take it to a CB shop. Theirs so many controls you can swing through a lot of upper and lower side bands. Its worth the Bucks.
