The media could not be loaded. I really like that this is a very small size radio you can easily throw in a 'to go' bag or keep in the kitchen cupboard for an emergency .The solar charging feature seems to work fine and it’s nice that it comes with those rechargeable lithium batteries. Out of the box it was already 100% charged for me . I’ve tried the hand crank. Seems like you have to crank it quite a bit to actually get a full charge. I have not done that yet personally for a full charge, but it works. The digital tuner is my favorite part because it is so hard to find stations sometimes on the old analog tuners, unless it’s extremely precise which, for this price unit , would be asking a lot. The digital tuner simply makes it easier to find stations and they come in clear on the NOAA. I have to say, I forgot the radio was on standby when late at night, an emergency weather forecast came on- as we were having storms and it scared the 'beJesus' out of me coming from the Living Room with the weather alert forecast blaringly loud, the light was blinking red as well for the emergency weather forecast so in inadvertently, I tested this feature and it does indeed work! Not much else to add you can see the features in the product description- other than I’m happy for the price of this radio and functionality am I going to sit there and listen to this radio to hear the great music sound? The answer is 'no' however, that is not what I’m buying it for. I think it will be fine for a.m. e.g. if you want to listen to a ball game or something

This is a good clear weather radio. The battery options are great with long standby and runtimes. I very much like the 5000 mAH lithium battery and AAA battery backup. Everyone should know that the crank and solar power options are very poor, giving very little runtime for time and efforts involved, but this no different from any other crank or solar power radio. AM reception is very weak. FM is barely passable. The weather stations and standby alert is excellent...and that is what I bought this radio for. The digital display is superb. Manual tuning is available. The overall user interface (UI) is intuitive and easy to use.

I'll be perfectly honest I bought this for the NOAA weather stations and the reading light and being solar powered. That it does excellently. The rest of the radio reception is sketchy at best the antenna sucks. When camped out I use a jumper wire to connect it to my ham radio antenna and then I get something resembling decent radio reception in the other bands. This is this is one of those you have to push the button or hold it down so it scans through the frequencies. It only stores the last frequency that it was on you can't program anything else. Needless to say it's a bit of an SOB if you're trying to go through this shortwave stations there's no jumping to the individual short way bands and adjusting from there you have to start at the top the bottom and go up or down through the scan feature. The alternative is even worse by having to push the button up or down individually. Other than that it seems like it's decent quality as far as construction goes the sound isn't too bad on it. And it does have if you want to turn it on the weather alert where it sits in standby mode and alert you if they have an emergency weather situation. Like I said it does what I bought it for so can't complain really if I want to listen to shortwave I have real radios for that and I don't have to worry about messing them up bouncing around on the dash of the truck
