Can't go wrong with this rig plenty of features great audio TX and Rec. I have worked many DX stations and US stations with great reports. Has a nice built in antenna tuner that works well I know You will not be disappointed.

Best HF radio for the price with all the benefits of direct sampling. It's plug n' play with the USB port for digital modes. Just keep the RF gain low to not overload the sampling. That means lay off the pre-amps and quit giving out S9+40db reports ! Enjoy the passband tuning and variable bandwidths. The 7300 is great on CW but I'm not.

I wants the Mk2 but it was my mistake. Unit works amazing. Learning the interface takes time and it would be cool to be able to build a custom meter screen but overall I am very pleased.

I bought an IC-7300 when the output on my Kenwood T2000 failed, probably due to nearby lightning. I had reservations about anything but Kenwood, but the 7300 design is great. There is a heck of a learning curve because it will do so much, and so well. I especially like the filtering since my antennas leave a lot to be desired. Speaking of antennas, mine need some tuning, and the 7300 auto tuner works great. I'm suddenly getting used to SWR values of about 1.2:1 in many cases. I mostly work 20 and 10 meters right not. But even my slinky hunk of junk 40 meter antenna is tuning up pretty well. I only wish the 7300 had a 2 meter section as well. I am not at all impressed by the seller. He shipped the product by Fed Ex Smart Postal or something like that. It should have taken a couple-three days to get to SE Virginia from Alabama. That carton went to TN, WV, MD, Norfolk, Richmond, and finally back to SE Virginia. I live a half an hours drive from Norfolk. That's nuts! By the time Fed Ex and the USPS gets through with it, you never know what to expect. The seller certainly must know that. UPS would have had it here in 2-3 days tops.

The only drawback of this radio, besides what seems like a high price but really isn't, is the fact that older models are HF capable and this one isn't. It's a shame really

Okay I recently moved into a rental home so I can't have some massive antenna setup. So I figured I would need some DSP on my side, because I'm going to have some kind of stealth, not great antenna setup. For the fun of it, I sat a quarter wave 50 ohm 2M magnetic mount antenna on a window ledge. Hooked it up to this transceiver. Please don't freak out, I'm not planning on transmitting with this, just wanted to listen. Yeah I have no ground plane or anything, and I'm listening to CW and SSB around 800 miles away and with a tiny bit of filter tweaking, it sounds like a telephone conversation right up to my ear. I absolutely cannot wait to figure out some kind of actual half wave antenna to throw on this bad boy. Not to mention actually grounding it. Lol. I have had a few Kenwood HF rigs and etc, this radio blows them away. The scope alone is worth every dollar. The waterfall... Okay I could go on, but seriously this radio has some kind of freakishly good receiver capabilities. I can barely wait to transmit. But I'm not going to mess around with some weird makeshift stuff. I need to balance out some kind of dipole or something first. If you are reading this, you are obviously considering this radio. Just do it. Icom is amazing, You won't regret it.

Excelente radio, un regalo perfecto para mi esposo Se lo regalé a mi esposo hace aproximadamente 3 meses y ha sido una excelente compra. Él tenía muchas ganas de tener este equipo y desde el primer día quedó muy contento con él. La configuración le resultó bastante sencilla y después de estos tres meses de uso todo ha funcionado perfectamente. Lo que más le ha gustado es la potencia y el rendimiento del equipo. También le parece muy cómoda la pantalla y, en general, ha quedado muy satisfecho con su funcionamiento. Fue un regalo que realmente disfrutó y definitivamente volveríamos a comprarlo. Lo recomiendo para cualquier persona que esté buscando un buen equipo para radioafición.

This was my first radio after getting my general license. Set up was easy, the menus are easy to navigate, and good audio quality. Within a week of having this radio I was making DX contacts. I would recommend this radio to anybody wanting a solid, reliable, HF transceiver. It may not be the absolute best at any one area, but for the money it’s hard to beat overall performance for the same price.
