Within 2 months this product broke. I tried to message the seller who will not respond. One will not work another I ordered is not able to keep water warm any longer. Both only 2 months old. I will be going with a different brand with better customer service.

So believe it or not I used this when we had a hurricane and used a generator to power the house and used this item to heat the tub so it would not be cold water. It takes about 20 minutes to heat. While it does heat water well, it can only turn itself off by running out the clock. So if you need to turn it off mid cycle, you either have to pull the plug or change the timer to 0. If you pull the plug it will arc electricity that will melt your sockets, and changing the timer to 0 takes a non-trivial amount of time. The real major problem is that when the device fails, it disregards the timer unit entirely and continues heating until unplugged. So you could set it for 10 minutes, then get distracted and come back later to anything from a tub of water that's been boiling for hours to a husk of a burned down house depending on the circumstance. ... show more
