The media could not be loaded. We installed the solar heater and it instantly and effectively warmed our pool. We have a small, 15' above ground pool, and we were satisfied until the hoses started acting up. First, one hose slid off, and we lost a significant amount of water. I reattached it, thinking it was a.fluke, but then the same hose all of the sudden had a.major leak (see video), and so I had to detach the whole thing. Now, we're trying to find new hoses. Of course, it happened about 30 days after our purchase.... Very dissatisfied with the hoses. I contacted the company in hope that they will help. Update: After reaching out to the company concerning.the defective hoses, they immediately took action to reconcile the matter. Their communication was excellent, and we were able to attach new hoses. Now, for the past week, we have enjoyed the benefits of the solar heater. Even on cool days, our kids love swimming.

The hoses for this never worked and I gave up. I should have returned this immediately, my bad! I bought a new pool this year and decided I would try again. Couldn't find my hose connectors, and customer service was not willing to do anything but offer 5% off purchasing another heater. All I wanted was to know where I can PURCHASE new connectors. I wasn't asking for free ones since I know I'm outside my return window. "They checked and don't have parts" buy somewhere local they said. How can you buy local when the connectors are specific to THEIR product. I will never purchase from this company again. Now I have a completely useless solar heater.

We have an Intex 18 foot long 54 inch deep above ground pool and we bought 3 of these and put them in full sun spot that gets a good 12 hours of sun a day and let me tell you they really work. Husband had some trial and error ordering the parts to hook them up. These do work but I am not giving 5 stars bc quality could be improved so tubing doesn't slip off so easy. Just don't move or fiddle with them once you've got them set up. Our pool is definitely warmer than last year. I've waited a month of trial to write this review. Pool temp is around 80 degrees so far all summer.

These are new, set up last September. I bought 3 to warm my 8,000 gallon pool faster. So far, one of the hoses sprang a leak and had to be removed. We are in Texas, but, the sun was not that hot this past Fall etc. I do not notice any temperature change in my water yet...

I have used many different pool heaters and this one has been the best so far. This type of heater is designed to heat the entire pool. We own a 15 foot above ground pool in our backyard. We have use his pool heater for the past two weeks and it is nice and warm in the pool. The solar feature is fabulous! Is very compact and super easy to install & use. The instructions were awesome & easy to follow!! If you need a heater for your above ground pool… This one works so great!

I purchased two of these, and they are easy to install and use. However, one arrived with a leaky joint, which the company promised to replace. I’m still waiting months later. So for now, I’m only using one where I need two.

The way this item works is that the coils get hot and heats up the water in the coils. However since the water moves through the coils quickly it doesn’t have a chance to warm up enough before getting to the pool. So it does not heat up the pool. I purchased 2 and it still did not increase the temperature

Update: I changed my rating to 5 stars simply because there are no leaks in the main dome after 3 years. The connectors on the heater are all 1 1/4 inch and there are no adapters for 1 1/2 inch hoses. I have not found any decent adapters on Amazon to successfully (no leaks) connect my 1 1/2 hoses to the 1 1/4 connections on the heater. If your pool uses 1 1/4 inch hoses you should be fine. Otherwise there is a modest increase in temperature. 2nd follow-up (deleted the first since it is now inaccurate) : It gets stranger. Day 3 the flimsy 1 1/4 inch long hose sprang about 14 pin hole leaks (I am not kidding I counted them this morning). Anyhow, jumping to the end of my saga it turns out the connectors on the solar pump WILL connect to a 1 1/2 inch hose and that the included 1 1/4 inch (flimsy) hoses have an abnormally large opening. So you do NOT need couplers to connect 1 1/2 inch hose to the solar heater. I have spent an extra $50 on couplers and hoses that I did not need. Under no circumstances will you want to use the included hoses.
