  • High Quality 200W Solar Panel!!
Style: 200W
I’ve been really impressed with this SOKIOVOLA N-Type 200W solar panel. It feels well made, opens easily, and folds back up without any hassle. The weight is very manageable considering how flexible the panel is. My favorite part has been the performance. On a sunny day here in Southern California, I’ve seen it reach up to 177 watts of input, which is about 88 to 89 percent efficiency from a 200W panel. That’s excellent real-world output for a portable setup. The carrying bag is also a nice touch. It keeps everything clean and easy to store or move around, and the zipper pouch is surprisingly roomy for cables and accessories. The included cable is good quality and comes with multiple connector options. I mainly use the XT60 plug, but it’s great that they support other power stations as well. Overall, I highly recommend this panel. I picked it up during a Black Friday sale, but even at full price I think the quality, efficiency, and usability make it a solid buy. ... show more

  • Nice Panel ... hopefully it lasts. High Output.
Style: 200W
I'm on the fence between 3 and 4 star. Arguments for 3 star: - The background / main material of this panel is very thin, arguably flimsy. It's almost like it's plastic-ized cardboard. It's stiff. I worry how it will hold up over time when being exposed to UV, etc. (UV + Plastic dont get along..). - The 3 Legs are 'awkward' and their retraction force is strong and you end up having to extend the legs, adjust the panel, which forces you to (again) adjust the legs, which pulls the panel out of alignment. Repeat a few times until everything is right. - The included cables are alright, but flimsy and prone to breaks. My XTG-end connector failed out of the box; but lucky for me I had replacements on hand. The main wire to the solar connectors seem OK tho. Argument for 4 Star: - Power. This produces well. Even in lower light situation you'll get more power than you expect; -- assuming your battery can take it. My generator's input is max about 110W. This panel seems almost always north of 100W assuming 'any' amount of sun. - Lower Voltage Output. Some of the 200+W panels achieve their output by having relatively high (30-40V) output voltages that are not actually supported by many portable battery generators. This doesnt. It'll work with pretty much everything. - High value given the asking price and performance. (Durability / long term life is TBD Tho). - Included bag is high quality. In fact, the bag is arguably *TOO GOOD* quality -- would rather those few $$ be applied towards a better / more durable plastic substrate. - Portability is great (considering the 200W size). Weight is good. ... show more

  • Analysis
Style: Black200W
I'm going to address things people have talked about : 1. Cable short, no pouch to store it : But I appreciate how it has a short cable so if I want it longer I can buy extension cable, it looks flat because there is nothing besides the output terminal box bulging it. 2. It's wobbly : Thin panel, so of course it's wobbly, but it's a great material that's flexible and durable, I can see the panels with these material is going to take vibration much better than the traditional hard framed panels. And be careful opening this panel because it's long and you might slam the folded part against the ground or something to potentially damage it. Dragon dance clothes really felt durable as advertised, mounting the panels makes me feel like the portable form factor is the way to go because you can always fold it up and it makes a good mount and it can be taken with you. 3. No manual no voltage knowledge etc : Get a charge controller to charge the batteries, maybe batteries taking solar directly already has one inside, it's not a thing to concern I feel like because my charge controller is reporting voltage of ~21v at most I guess then it falls throughout the day and the amount of current (amp) varies through out the day too, the charge controller is going to adapt to it and charge the battery, say a charge controller working with a 12v battery system can usually take up to 100v if not more from the solar panel it is a WIDE RANGE so it's ok I feel like whatever the solar panel's voltage is 4. No USB output : It's better off, because the system is water proof, you do not get a USB port to go together with a solar panel that can be left in the rain that easily, water resistant is really important, USB can be the part where extensions are in your system, for example you can implement it on the charge controller or the battery or the inverter, having no USB for solar panel is ok because being a solar panel that's good for its job is enough 5. Very big : it's not only big it has a special layer on the surface that has up and down and focus sunlight so if the sun shines at an angle it (i guess) would perform better than those panel that doesn't have the technology (maybe at 66% efficiency instead of 100% of the panels having this technology if the panels working non optimal environment) There might be stuffs in water that leaves a stain on the solar panel when dried so watch then clean panel after there is stains so it can remain in peak efficiency I connected the solar panel to charge controller by cutting open the extension cable shipped together, I connected the charge controller to charge the battery with two 10AWG Fall or winter almost here, maybe already is, I'm getting ~130W at 12:00pm ... show more

50-100% more output, smaller & lighter with pocket for cords & bonus USB connections than 200 watt panels purchased with name brand solar generator. Very impressed. Nice design. 140watts late evening in winter.

  • Look good! Will have to see how they hold up!
Style: 200W
At the time of this review, I am the only review from a person who did not receive a free product for the review, so I can be completely unbiased. But I have not actually tried it out yet (too overcast) I will say the shipping was fast, the packaging was good, and the panels look well constructed, with no obvious flaws. They are “very lightly built”, but that would be as expected for portable solar panels. I will check back with a functional addendum, and,of course long-term reliability is always the gold standard for a high rating. I took a chance on these because of the obviously low”break into the market” price. Update: I have now used this panel a couple times and it really does hit 224 Watts peak in direct sunlight. It also seems very tolerant to slight off-angles to the sun. I have a pair of EcoFlow rigid panels to compare with, and those have only hit 200 Watts rarely, under absolutely ideal conditions. So I am totally happy with these panels. ... show more
