  • Started on the first pull!!!!
Style: Generator
Inverter was delivered within two days of ordering. Price for a inverter that puts out this much power is unbelievable. Wieghs about the same as a 2200 Honda. Time will tell, going camping this upcoming weekend and it will be our power source for three days, coffee, recharge the batteries in the fith wheel, watching movies. It will be a great way to break it in before we use the AC. I will update if things go south! The inverter was a louder than expected, ran good, started easy, even in the low 20* temps that we had in the mornings. At 6800' it does need to be rejetted to run without a occasional sputter, but overall, I would reccomend it. ... show more

  • Vibration and volume
Style: Generator
The media could not be loaded. I added photos of what items are included. The two plugs are not adapters. They are in case you need to convert what you have. The funnel is for the oil and works well. Based on what another reviewer said I didn’t pour all the oil in right away although the container only has 15 fl oz and that’s what the generator needs. I probably put in 12oz then tested the level and in the end used about 14 oz. I did pull the start rope a little thinking it may help disperse the oil inside but I don’t know that to be true on this motor. I’ll test the level after the gen cools from its test run to see if I can fit the rest of the oil in. The spark plug tool doesn’t seem to fit well, I was going to check the gap but couldn’t get it out with that tool. The screw driver is duel ended, flat and phillips. It started with no issue. It’s louder than expected and vibrates. The video is my attempt to show the vibration and volume but I know those don’t come across well on a phone camera. If you can zoom in or look at the rope handle you can see the vibration better. I downloaded a decibel app and standing above it with phone at normal use height on the exhaust end it read 86db. Each 5 additional feet I moved away it read 2 db less. 5 feet was 84db and so on. I only tested household items I do not have the rv near by to test the air conditioner just yet. I’m giving it 5 stars because I haven’t found anything really wrong that warrants a bad review but if I do I’ll edit as needed. There is one thing, the plastic case isn’t snapping closed very well on the top, I added that photo too. I’ll take a look inside once it cools to see if something is broken or loose. ... show more

  • Not as quiet as I expected.
Style: Generator
What did I like about this generator? It's portability, starts with one or two pulls, quieter than my 3500 watt Champion generator. What I did not like. Unless you are running this generator on low mode with minimal load, it is noisier than I expected. Loss of horsepower at higher altitudes ( 8000 feet). I camp in the mountains of Colorado and this generator is set up for much lower altitudes. This generator also struggles in high humidity rainy environments. It needs to be kept covered and out of the rain. I put it under the tailgate of my truck and the co2 sensor would shutdown the generator. I would buy this generator again. I like the portability and even with the minor things that I mentioned, it is a lot more campground friendly than my heavy Champion generator. ... show more

  • Great for camping!
Style: Generator
We have a few upcoming trips and will be off the grid for some of them. This little generator is very impressive. I added the oil, filled the tank, turned the selector to choke, pulled the cord three times, turned the selector to run, pulled the cord once, and it started right up. We didn't run the A/C, but the heater, which is part of the HVAC system, and you heard a change in the generator, but once the HVAC leveled off, it was fine. The generator is quieter than we'd hoped, but all in all, it's awesome! ... show more

  • Hard first start
Style: Generator
After installing the oil and the gas did a once over, I pulled the starter just to get some oil moving put it on choke pulled it six times wouldn’t start roll the switch to run and then it fired off. Spread it a little bit till I got good fuel ran good, check the power outlet had power on everything ran for an hour to break it in. Brought it back down to room temperature outside air temp ran again under load and worked with no issue. ... show more

  • Broke down after about 2 hours of use.
Style: Generator
I really needed this to make our long journey with our new trailer. It broke down within 2 to 3 hours of use. Starts then dies after 5-15 seconds. Luckily I had my small 2000 Yamaha at least we could make coffee & watch TV. Pulsar really disappointed us. We made it to Alaska & have given it to a professional mechanic shop for repairs. Hope Pulsar will reimburse me for the problems! We were so happy in the beginning then it crapped out way too soon! So bummed out that something brand new could breakdown so quick! ... show more

  • So far so good
Style: Generator
Next day delivery!!! This was a little wonky at first but so far it seems durable and well made. Upgraded from a 2k inv. Gen for my rv that required an adaptor to plug in. Oddly they are twins in size and weight , shape. This unit was direct plug giving me hope that the ac won’t struggle quite as much as with this one’s predecessor. No vent on the gas cap I thought was a missed opportunity and no fuel gauge so that’s a learning curve for me. ... show more
