The media could not be loaded. I found it odd that the first 20 chicks I incubated all hatched except the three that were along the right-hand side. I put in the next batch of eggs and when I went to candle them on day 7, I realized that the right-hand side eggs were cool to the touch! They were also all full of blood rings. The incubator's cold spot killed 6 chicks =/ Everything else worked fine. The auto-turner was perfectly timed at every 2 hours. The humidity stayed level. It's just that cold spot, and I'm not sure how to get rid of it for future batches.

Temps might be a little low because my chicks hatched very late but other than that it was sturdy and kept humidity.

The bottle portion does not come with a seal, your water will overflow, making that portion useless. So you'll have to keep an eye on humidity every hour, or your hatch rate will be significantly reduced. It only fits 12 chicken eggs, not 20, unless it's quail eggs. I will be returning.

I have raised chickens for 12 years and have a large 42 egg incubator so I was very interested to try this smaller one out. First of all, it holds 18 of my chicken eggs so to say 20 eggs is not that far off. Overall, the incubator functions well with the temperature control and hygrometer. It's simple to set up, and it maintains its temperature fairly accurately. I was surprised to see it only using 5 watts to do its job. That's a fairly low consumption compared to larger ones. The water bottle holder can be messy when attempting to get the bottle into the holder, but it does work. It does have the option of flooding additional chambers manually if the humidity needs to rise like for the last few days or if the water bottle needs to be removed. This type of egg turner is just a grid the rolls the eggs back and forth through the day while it lays horizontal. It's not like the ones I have that hold the egg vertically and sway the egg back and forth. I marked the divider positions with a Sharpie so I know exactly where they go after I break it down. The reason I got it was so I can run a small batch of eggs without having to run the larger one. I think it will do well for this purpose.

I finally tried to hatch 19 eggs from my chickens. It worked fine until several days before the hatching date then it shutdown and wouldn't work anymore. I was able to save some of them by putting them in my brooder, but about 8 died from getting too cold. I was lucky enough to have 6 hatch and are healthy. I was hoping this would be an extra incubator for me but I would not recommend this product to anyone.

The media could not be loaded. I'm so excited, I can't wait to use this. I'm impressed with the quality and ease of operation of this 20 egg incubator. It controls the temp. and automatically turns the eggs every two hours or you can turn them anytime with a push of a button. Just add warm water, attach the rotation arm, water hose and trays, add fertalized eggs plug in and set the temp. Simple and yet efficient. 21 days to little pew pews!

I got this to raise some chickens from eggs. It's easy to use and is pretty much hands free. Just keep water in it to keep humidity up and you will be good to go!
