really nice size lam erfect for the nightstand in the bedroom. its well made, very sturdy and has a good weight, even with a narrower base than i would have liked it stays upright with no issues even with bumps and fumbling to reach for the turn knob in the middle of the night. i got 1 lamp for free through the vine program and loved it so much i bought a second lamp after testing the the product for review so i would have a matching set in my bedroom. really nice design, sturdy, and easy to put together for a great price ... show more

    • Some assembly required, but very cute!

First, they must have updated the description on this since I ordered it, as I was lead to believe it was a 2-pack. I think for $50 it's a bit pricier than I would prefer based on this alone. Second, there was a small bit of assembly, which was fine, but unexpected. You have to tug the cord through the base, which at first is a bit intimidating because I worried I'd break it. But I worried for nothing, and then I was able to fit the harp and finial into the base. Third, the lamp shade comes rolled up inside out and it attaches via a strip of velcro. So unfortunately, that connection sticks out quite a bit. That said, we just turned the lamp so the seam was on the backside. Overall, I really love the ambiance it provides and it's really pretty and complements my decor. I do feel that $30-$40 would be a more appropriate price point. ... show more

Considering I am a senior citizen, it was fairly easy to assemble. Ike others, I found it difficult to pull the electric thru the base of the lamp so I could secure the light blub. Not sure why the mfg left so much of the electrical wire sticking out of the top that the customer had to deal with the tight pulling. Also the height of the lamp is not as tall as I expected. I guess I should have looked at the measurements closer. The shade is pretty cheesy as well. The color and design of the base is good, but again, doesn't look as good as the picture. I would recommend if you are looking for a smaller lamp for a smaller table. ... show more

My initial impression of this lamp was how light the box was. That was my first indication of the lamp inside. The shade was wrapped in a roll that had to be assembled. The shade itself had 4 components: wire frame that housed the finial, the finial, the shade (rolled with Velcro to secure) and another frame to give structure. The base also had a cord with the bulb receptacle/switch dangling aside. My husband and I took turns trying to pull the cord through the base to secure the top portion. It was not easily done. The end result was a small lamp that would not withstand my cat rubbing against it. Not sturdy, but at the same time (if we hadn’t fought to assemble it) aesthetically pleasing. The shade secured with Velcro was not seamless and distracted greatly from the overall appearance. The retail value should be less than 20.00. It is a poorly made substitute for what could have been a great design. Although I think the lamp would be suitable if casually seen, a closer inspection would showcase an inferior design. Highly overpriced. Do not recommend for the assigned RV. ... show more
