I have 2 garage door openers, thus I have 2 remotes. Wish I would have known about these remotes existence years ago. I would of had a simpler life for several years. I was able to program both door openers in under 2 minutes. Tried watching the instruction video but I found it easier with the written instructions. I got stuck in step 2 not realizing that that was the step where I would press the button that I wanted to assign the door opener to. Once I realized that that what I was supposed to do... Bam! Got done in 10 seconds. Highly recommend.

UPDATED: After leaving the below review, customer service reached out to me and let me know that if you press for 1 second, as opposed to clicking, they work easily. I can confirm this is true. I am changing my review to five stars, as I am now quite satisfied with them! —————————————- These remotes were simple to connect to my garage door opener, and they technically work, but it takes anywhere from 3-8 clicks to get the door to respond. Since these are just backups, I’ll keep them, but if you’re replacing one you use regularly, I’d look for one made by your GDO manufacturer.

This my third set of these remotes. The first pair have been in service in 2020 and still work great. I ordered two more for family members since I just replaced my second garage door opener and now needed one that would work with yellow learn for garages, and purple for my gate. No issues programming them, and they have good range.

The video directions are not correct. The paper instructions are more clear. Here is a more clear programming method. 1. Press the hold the I & II buttons until the light blinks 4 times 2. Press ANY button 1, 2, 3, or 4 times. (This determines WHICH button is being programmed & which name brand is being set. Refer to document for color-MFG associations). 3. Press ANY button other than the button being programmed (this EXITS program mode. The remote is now ready to have the desired button paired with the lift unit). 4. Press the button on the lift unit (or whatever is needed to enter pairing mode). 5. Hold the remote button down that was previously set for use with desired lift. Hold the button until the lift unit clicks a few times or activates the door or gives some indication of being paired). 6. You're all done. NOTE: YOU MUST EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE ON THE REMOTE BEFORE PAIRING WITH THE LIFT UNIT. The directions are not very clear on this step but it is required.

I have the LiftMaster 8550WLB garage door opener. This universal remote for the 893MAX works great. It took me less than 5 minutes to configure the code for the new remote. If you need a 893MAX replacement, I highly recommend this remote.

I was literally following the video instructions step by step about 6x until I looked up my garage door opener and followed their instructions!!!! Worked on the first try with the wall remote!!!!! Overall you have to long press the button for the opener to work, but it’s ok, that will be perfect for my husband cause he does do that - so for now these work just fine!!! For the price we paid, can’t complain!!! At least they work!
