Wifey had be less than enamored with the previous antique bronze garage lights. Frankly, I thought they were just fine until her comments bordering annoyance won. I put these up and I have to admit they look oou-wee good! Took out the yellow bug light and screwed in some E26 bulbs and SHAZAM what a difference. The wavy glass (or plastic, I can't remember) really set it off projecting the light much brighter and the yellow bulbs and pretty, I might add. Solidly built with a built-in light and motion sensor that I just know will outlast the light sensors on the previous that wore out forcing me to replace with light sensing bulbs. Was surprised when I bought three at the small amount that I paid for them. I checked with the local hardware stores and for the same type would had cost much, much more. We bought a set plus another for our courtyard. I wasn't too impressed with the "oil finished bronze" finish- a bit ho-hum, so I ended up putting my own finish on them, which turned out really nice. Glass is beautiful, sensors seem to work just fine. Note that the picture shown on Amazon website shows the sensor in a bronze color, it is silvery colored. If anyone wants to do what I did to the finish, I masked off the glass, rather than risking cracking them & masked off the sensor with blue painter's tape. Be very careful not to damage the sensor! I used DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Iced Espresso & rubbed on the glace' over most of the surface- but not all, which gave it a bit of an antiqued bronze appearance. I put 3 light layers of clear-coat to seal, installed and caulked around them with clear caulking. Now I love them! ... show more

The lamps look really nice. We had a bit of trouble installing them because they are made to attach to a round box and ours is a rectangular box. But we figured it all out and they are up and working fine. They are metal, they give off a good amount of light, and do not look cheap.

These are very well made and work very well. The sensors for light and movement are spot on. Even my contractor liked them and asked where I got them. I did purchase the led bulbs recommended in the "often bought together" recommendation and they are bright enough at baseline but get brighter with movement detection.
