This light is awesome. It fits perfectly in a 3x3 and provides very even coverage thoughout the tent. I'm a few weeks away from my first harvest with this light and my plants have not seemed to ask for any more than 75% brightness during flower. The light bars get a bit toasty when the brightness is raised up, and the ballast does get hot. The ballast being removable is very handy because of this. The hottest my tent has been with this light on is 80F, while my home was 74F. It's worth mentioning that AC Infinity's adapters DO NOT work with this this lamp very well, despite being listed as a supported model. My light would randomly turn on at night, so I just stuck it back on a timed outlet to be safe. Mars Hydro's app may work better, but judging by the 1.Something star reviews for it, I sort of doubt it. Don't let that or a lack of Samsung LEDs dissuade you from buying this lamp, especially if it's on sale. I paid about $400 and received a heat mat as well. It's currently on sale for $373 for Black Friday at the time of writing this. In my opinion, it's the best bang for your buck, especially in a 3x3. ... show more

The light seems very sturdy and well made. The only issue I had was the dimmer. Always seems to be such a cheap switch on otherwise great lights from Mars Hydro. First light had to be exchanged for one that worked. Amazon made it right quickly though with a replacement light sent immediately. Have had this issue before on different model lights from the same manufacturer. The new driver and dimmer worked beautifully and the light can go from 0 to 100% power. Do love the low heat output, especially with the driver mounted up high in the exhaust fan air stream. Getting well over 1000 par readings at 10 inches from the canopy. Buds responded well to the new light. Looking forward to using on a full run seed to flower. Ill update the review in a few months after and show the results. Coverage is perfect for my 4x4 closet. Also, do make sure to alternate between A and B bars when assembling the light. They only have one UV led diode per bar. A and B bars have them at opposite ends for even coverage. Update #1 Light has done great in veg. Had an unexpected autoflower in the bunch as well. It’s blooming nice and dense under the light at 75% power and 18 inches below. I added a picture of the veg setup. Will give one more update after flowering. So far still absolutely a 5 star light. Last Update This light has preformed absolutely beautifully. So far it is going great! Was able to get wifi hooked easily and set up my app! Just make sure you are using your 2g wifi connection not the 5g when you hook to it and make sure you do the same with your phone so they can share a connection and do not forget to turn your phones Bluetooth on like I did at first lol my only problem was I thought I was missing pieces to the light but I found I received the upgraded light which does not use the wing nuts or wire hoop thingy. But I had gotten an older manual so I thought I was missing stuff, so just be aware and when you go to use the dimmer switch on the light, make sure to press the button by the daisy chain channels and plug in daisy chain chord to 1st channel. It wouldn't let me dim it otherwise until I had the app but otherwise it works flawlessly and my plants love it! We are definitely getting the larger midel once we get our house, but not much room so I just needed it for 3 little babies I have going. So much better than the little quantum board light I had. Now hopefully it lasts a long time and I'll be sure to update this if anything does happen. But so far I think I made the right choice! Love the bar style of the light and easily covers the entire 3 by 3 space. Could probably cover more if I needed it to and I love that I can run it at 60% to 75% and only be using 200 watts! This light is super bright so make sure to wear glasses and cant wait to add the uv and ir bars! I'll post my results at the end for everyone! 10/01/23 So update: I am 2 days in and the device has completely stopped connecting to any wifi or blue tooth and I can no longer control the dimmer at all. So I can either use it at 10% or 100% which both are useless to me as I'm in veg! I hope mars has a solution and when I shut the light off in the app it is no longer shutting off. So I have no idea what is wrong with this. I have to manually unplug it to shut it off. The dimmer switch doesn't shut it off either anymore. UPDATE: Less than 1 month later the hardware failed and it no longer can be dimmed or connected to the app through blue tooth or wifi. I have gotten no help from mars with the issues which obviously are the hardware and am wondering why these are being sold for hundreds of dollars when they aren't worth anything close to that. I mean if the manual dimmer switch worked than it would be fine and I could still use it but the manual dimmer switch doesn't even work! Honestly I should have just saved up and bought the AC Infinity light but I thought mars was supposed to be a good brand but so far they suck! It was good for 30 days so now I'm suspicious. If I was someone looking for a new light, just save up and don't waste your money on these! If someone would have at least answered me and helped me fix the issue, I would have recommend the light cuz when it works it is nice but it has not worked almost at all and it supposed to be brand new and I just wish I had listened to the reviews.
