After realizing too late that my device (exhaust fan with light) used a GU24 base, I was frustrated, wondering why a manufacturer would use a base that hardly anyone else seems to use, and which doesn't work with a normal (E26, apparently) bulb base. I thought I was going to have to either buy a different brightness GU24 than I wanted, wait weeks for delivery, or buy more GU24 bulbs than I need for the rest of my life. So I was glad to see that someone, JACKYLED (among others) in this case (why do I feel as if I am shouting when I type the name?!), makes an adapter so I can use one of the dozens of normal bulbs I have on hand already. The E26 bulb installed just fine into the adapter, and the adapter went easily into the GU24 base of my device. It feels as if the extra length of the adapter (plus perhaps the longer base on my LED bulb compared to the old GU24 CFL) causes the main light source to not be centered behind the lens of my lamp, but since I don't spend much time looking up at the light, analyzing it (though I clearly did so once and came away with this feedback), it's fine for anyone without OCD. Amazon suggest I rate "energy efficiency" and "brightness", but I have no way of measuring energy efficiency. And the adapter with my replacement LED bulb is sufficiently bright, but that has more to do with the bulb than the adapter. I would buy the adapter again, if needed, but I am hoping this one should last forever, and I don't think I have any other devices with GU24 (fingers crossed!), so I'm good. ... show more
