This is an older model remote control, its a bit hard to ply open to change battery. since it is supposedly new, so the battery should still be full. It is very easy to program if you follow the instruction exactly, like hold AND ... or hold for 3 sec, release and then press again, etc... Remote works good after programmed.

This looks like a generic no-name brand but it works okay with the Chamberlain garage door. Easy to program but does not come with batteries. Still a good deal for the price.

Edit: added 2 star based on customer service response, they contacted me to resolve my problem and are very persistent to make things right. Our 13yr old garage door opener won't program to our cars' homelink anymore for some reason, so I got these to hold us over until we get a whole new one system. They work, they get the garage door open, but the range is pretty short. Most of the time I'll pull up within a few feet of the garage door and it still won't reach, pressing the button doesn't open the door. We literally have to get out of the car and walk up to the garage door to get in range, so MAYBE 15-20ft, which kinda defeats the purpose of having a garage door opener.

Works like a charm. First, before I bought these, I went to my local DIY warehouse store (H***D***) and bought two different remotes. The first one was a Genie brand. This did not do squat. The second was a bona fide Chamberlain remote. This one did the two light flashes, but failed to operate the door. Plus they ranged from $32 to $40, each. So, the product here is vastly cheaper, and most important of all, it works! Took about 30 seconds to read the instructions and about 30 seconds more to program each remote. Note: My garage motor has a purple "Learn" button. No opinions on suitability if yours has something else, but the instructions do explain for several button colors.
