I recently got a Ring doorbell during Prime days and I absolutely love it! I don’t know how I got by for so long without one. My front door is somewhat protected from the elements, but we get heavy rain sometimes and it comes in sideways. I had read multiple articles about keeping the water out of your device, so when I came across this particular listing, I liked the way that it looked in the pictures as well as the fact that there were two since I have two different ones on my home. I went ahead and placed an order for them and they arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too thrilled with how they actually are as opposed to how they would be in theory. First off, They are very oversized. They just look weird to me. I thought they would be closer to the unit more, but there is definitely a lot of room Around all the edges, which seems like it would be somewhat effective. Unless your surface is completely flat, water will still get in behind the top. You definitely need to use some type of sealant on all the sides to make sure that doesn’t happen. But that basically defeats the whole purpose of getting it in the first place. So I guess if you don’t mind the appearance overall, then you may be pleased with them. It just did not look great in my opinion so I’m not sure if I’m actually going to use them or not. I added a photo so you can see what I’m talking about as far as the amount of open space all around it. I also don’t like that the screws are visually exposed. It is not appealing looking whatsoever. I wish I could give this more stars because it is a good deal for the price, but unfortunately, I’m just not a fan. I hope my review helps you to make a more well informed decision.

Just bought Ring doorbell and this cover. Photo looks like it tightly enclosed the Ring device but it is completely separate and oversized all the way around. Not sure I have room to mount this or if this will help much. Great idea but it would be better to have this snugly fit the device for best waterproofing.

These are pretty good quality for just a cover. I will be running a bead of silicone across the edges just to make sure water doesn't seep in behind them. Hopefully this will protect my ring doorbells. Looks like it would have to be raining sideways for them to get wet now. And if you think your doorbell is waterproof, then first, what are you doing looking here and second, they're not forever. I lost one to water getting inside.

The reason is, my house sits "sideways" on a longer, skinny lot and when I bought it the "front yard" was fenced and the "back yard" was not. I have left instructions for delivery people and the regular ones know to drop my packages over the fence onto a table that cannot be seen from the street (plus I have a security camera that is focused on that area of my yard), but those who aren't familiar and do not read delivery instructions, they inevitably bring it to the back door. Having a doorbell there (as well as my actual front door) lets me know when someone mistakenly is at my back door. That's why I needed both of these! I used silicone to adhere both of them to the wall near the door and then ran another bead of silicone completely around the outside to make the cover as waterproof as possible. The doorbells, I used 3M double sided sticky tape to "glue" the doorbell to the space in/under the covers. I should mention that my house did not have hardwired doorbells so I purchased the plugs that allowed me to attach wiring to the doorbells sort of like the old stereo speakers, tightening the wires around a screw on the back and my light fixtures both had an outlet on them so it was easy to plug them in and have functioning doorbells without calling an electrician. Anyway, now my doorbells have rain covers and look better for it!

So these are a bit different than what I was expecting to receive. Ones I've seen before are their own full holders whereas this one is more of a surround for an existing set up. That being said, it's very sturdy and will definitely help keep rain and sun off my Ring lense, hopefully helping to improve it's tracking as well, but we shall see. Easy to install as well.

This two-pack of doorbell covers for the Ring doorbell is great. The size is perfect, they are sturdy - metal not plastic. They fit easily and go on quickly. They do not impede the camera and will protect from the rain - if we ever get any again! Overall, I am very pleased with the covers and will probably purchase another pack for the other cameras.
