I was getting my pool summer ready and wanted to add accent lights to the fence (we love to swim at night). These lights are perfect. The best part is they are solar making stringing them on the fence the perfect accent around the pool. While they are not bright, bright, they add a beautiful view to the pool area. They are really long so wrapped around nicely (I had to buy an extra one so I can wrap them all the way around the entire fenced pool area). I also want to add that sometimes strong lights have a lot of space in between, but this has a lot of lights that are close together. This is what makes accenting with these lights so much better. The media could not be loaded. I dread installing long strings of lights because they often become a tangled mess. No such frustration with these lights, despite being a lengthy 82 feet. They were a breeze to install because they arrived precisely gathered into an easy-to-grip bundle that can easily pass between branches. The strand came off as easily as yarn from a ball, and in ten minutes I was done. Many small lights are called "fairy lights," but these truly earn that title. The look is delicate and airy, with tiny bulbs bright enough to really sparkle. The color temperature is pleasantly warm. There are 8 modes to choose from, including a gentle twinkle mode that I love. So far the lights have been lasting about 6-7 hours a night, with the solar panel in a less than ideal partially-shaded position among some tulips. My lights went on a 6' Japanese maple that is wider than it is tall. The 83 foot strand would have covered the entire tree if I'd strung them loosely around the outside, but I wrapped the trunk and major branches heavily, then ran out before I could cover the outer tips. I didn't hesitate to order a second strand to finish the job. Nice lights, and an excellent value! ... show more

These solar lights are amazing. I put these up in my front porch area to take place of the porch light that runs on electricity. The Olaf panel has to be im direct sun for about 6 hours to get a couple hours of light. They turn on automatically after they are switched on and stay lit until they are out of power. They create a very pleasing soft warm glow that goes for hours if the panels are placed to get at least 6 to 8 hours of daylight.
