To maintain battery health and prevent damage due to inactivity, it is recommended to charge the battery at least once every two or three months

Description

Multiple 12.8V 100Ah batteries can be combined in series or parallel. When connected in series (+ to -, + to -) the voltage rises; when connected in parallel (+ to +, - to -) the current rises, thus increasing the total power. 1. Increased capacity: Combining batteries in parallel increases the overall capacity, allowing for longer runtime. This can be beneficial in applications requiring extended power supply, such as solar systems or electric vehicles. 2. Increased voltage: Combining batteries in series increases the overall voltage, which can be advantageous in applications that require higher voltages, such as inverters or electric power tools. 3. Redundancy and reliability: Having multiple batteries working together provides redundancy. If one battery fails, the others can continue to provide power. This improves the overall reliability of the system. 4. Flexibility: Using batteries in combination allows for flexibility in meeting different power requirements. You can adjust the configuration based on the specific needs of your application. P.S. Accessories used in combination need to be purchased separately NOTE: Before using in series or parallel, must be make sure that each battery is 100% fully charged. Otherwise, the individual voltages will be unstable and will need to be fully charged individually before responding again. Q1. Can not discharge? Q2: Can not charge? Check that the battery is securely connected.

  • Great batteries for solar PV setups
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 2 Packs
I’ve now built two solar PV setups using these GRNOE 12V 100Ah LiFePO₄ batteries, and both have been a great success. The batteries feel solid, lightweight compared to lead-acid, and they really do hold the energy longer, which makes a big difference when running loads off-grid. The 100A BMS with low-temp protection gives peace of mind, and so far they’ve handled charging and discharging cycles smoothly without any issues. Packaging was also excellent—secure and protective on arrival. If you’re working on a solar system and want reliable storage, these are a great choice. I’m happy to recommend them. ... show more

  • Great value for 12v LifePO4 batteries.
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 2 Packs
We have multiple different LifePo4 batteries used in different marine applications. These are great. Last more than 5x of a deep-cycle AGM or flooded battery in terms of useful life AND in length of time power is supplied between charges. I have yet to drain one to the point it doesn't function. In weather below 34 degrees (F) the onboard BMS (battery management system) will sometimes stop them from being charged but, that's rarely been a problem, mostly because they hold a charge so long anyway. They work great for trolling motors, electronics and "house batteries". Great battery life. Very light weight and sized as indicated. One of these 20lb+/- batteries will replace a 100lb+ D battery as a "house battery". Their light weight makes them very easy to place. These have non-standard posts, so you may have to replace your terminal ends with "eyes" that can be attached with the included bolts. You need to use a LifePo4 rated charger. I've found that you actually don't need multi-bank chargers if your wired in parallel (for, example, in a 24v or 36v system), just wire the positive lead to one battery's (+) and the negative lead to the other battery's (-) terminal. It may take a little longer to charge, but not much longer with a good LifePo4 charger (10amps or more) Like most any LifePo4, do not use as a cranking battery and do not charge with an alternator. Any LifePo4 will ruin a standard 12v alternator unless you use a specific DC-DC isolator made for this purpose. Would buy again - but these will most likely outlast our boats and me. ... show more

  • Bad batteries, no support.
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 2 Packs
1 battery used 1 time, the other used 4 or 5 times. I got in touch with Grnoe about the issue with the first battery that quit on May 14th, sent in all the pictures that they wanted and all the information that they wanted. Totally ignored. Haven't heard back from them at all. I bought 2 sets of these (4 batteries) for my boat. 2 are still working for now. It's not that I'm leaving a bad review for the batteries because nothing is perfect. Stuff happens. But when you are totally ignored when you have a problem..... Then I have a problem. Won't be doing these kind of batteries for my boat anymore. ... show more

  • Happy I changed Catalina 34 sailboat batteries from AGM to LiFePO4.
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 1 Pack
My wife and I arrived at a mooring at Catalina Island after sailing from San Diego, and everything was great, until a few hours later when the sun set. The lights in the boat kept dimming every few minutes, when the 12 volt refrigerator compressor tried to start and failed. The four Group 31 AGM batteries that had powered the boat so well for the past 5 years were done for! We were able to stay the rest of the week by turning off the refrigerator at night and running it, and other things, from the solar panels during the day. As soon as we arrived home, I ordered four GRNOE 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery Built-in 100A BMS, Group 31 batteries from Amazon. They were a great value, but I wondered how well they would work with my old chargers (shore power charger, solar charge controller, alternator regulator). After reading a lot of reviews, especially one from another sailor, I learned that I would need to replace all of my charging gear, so I ordered 4 Victron chargers from Amazon. Connecting the chargers to the four GRNOE batteries, and the one AGM starter battery, proved to be a task, but well worth it. The initial (first) charge of the battery bank really sucked in a lot of power and the charger became hot to the touch, so I dialed down the amount of current the 30 Amp shore power charger could provide to 17 Amps, and that made the charging run cooler. The main points I would like to make in this review are: 1- These GRNOE 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Group 31 batteries are a good value. They store and hold a lot of power. 2- In a sailboat with a separate AGM starting battery and solar panels, you will need to do a partial re-wire of your existing 12 volt charging systems, and will need to buy, at least in my case, 4 chargers. Shore power charger: To plug in and charge at the slip or dock (at night). Solar charge controller: If you have solar panels on the boat. Alternator charge controller: Necessary to prevent your engine's 100Amp alternator from burning up, limits charge rate. Start battery charge controller: Charges the AGM battery from the LiFePO4 main battery bank, but at a rate and voltage it needs. 3- Also needed is a battery monitor from the same manufacturer as the chargers. When you get done learning about how the charging systems work as a team to maintain the LiFePO4 batteries in top condition, you will be glad that you spent the time and money to do it right. You won't need to worry about running your old battery bank down below 40%, knowing that AGM batteries would only tolerate a maximum of 500 deep cycles before they die. According to what I have learned by watching people like Will Prowse on YouTube, if properly maintained with well-tuned battery charging systems, the LiFePO4 batteries can be run down to 10% State of Charge, or 12 volts, thousands of times. (The Battery Management Systems (BMS) on each GRNOE battery will do a "low voltage cutoff" at 10 volts.) Only time will truly tell how well these GRNOE LiFePO4 batteries will perform. I will return and post an update to this review after my next cruise to Catalina Island. ... show more

  • Perfect for my travel trailer. Would buy again.
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 1 Pack
This was a win all the way around. I needed a new battery for my small travel trailer. The old lead acid battery had finally died. The guys in an online Casita forum (my brand) all recommend that I switch to Lithium. Less weight, more storage capacity. The price for lithium is now close to what a lead acid would cost. Buying this particular size was hard to find locally. Plus everyone wanted to charge a core deposit. Buying on Amazon was easy, and cheaper. And it was delivered to my home. I also sprang for an inexpensive bench charger. Even though my trailer has solar, I wanted to start fully charged. The lithium battery was half the weight, so it was a lot easier to install into the narrow "cave" battery compartment on the trailer. I also found that Autozone would take back the old battery, and give me a $10.00 gift card. We left a few days later on a five week trip. No issues, and we had ample power to run the exhaust fan, lights, phone chargers, etc. Even when we dry camped for three nights. For me, it was a great experience. I would certainly do it again. In hindsight, I probably didn't need the charger. But I have it now, and it was cheap. All good. ... show more

  • Power for my solar system and RV trips
Style: G31 100Ah Size: 2 Packs
I’ve been building my own solar setups for a while, and this 2 pack has been an excellent choice. Right out of the box, I was impressed with how well packaged they were and how lightweight they felt compared to my old lead acid batteries. They’re solid, well built, and easy to handle. I’m using them both in my home backup solar system, and they’ve been performing flawlessly. They hold their charge for a long time, the 100A BMS with low temperature protection gives me peace of mind, and so far the charge and discharge cycles have been smooth and consistent. Performance has been excellent, no voltage drops, no overheating, and very stable output. If you’re putting together a solar setup or need dependable power storage, these batteries are a great investment. I’m really satisfied with them and would definitely buy again. ... show more
