First off the product is well made. Make sure you use the sizing chart for your correct tire size as ours was spot on. Secondly the application of all four tires took me less than 5 minutes. The self adjusting/tightening mechanism worked as advertised and allowed for a set it and forget it application. We live in Florida and before our trip to North Carolina I did a dry run in the driveway so that when it was time, it would be effortless because who wants to figure it out in freezing temps. I am writing this review after a 3 hr drive down a mountain and a heavy foot of snow where these chains worked flawlessly. We have a Nissan pathfinder front wheel drive 2wd. I knew that if we experienced bad weather on our trip that I would be prepared. After a day of tubing in pretty much a blizzard while on the slopes, we had to make a treacherous route down the mountain where multiple cars had slid off the road at many points. I had purchased two sets of these chains for all four tires. We ended up making it down the mountain safely and confidently. What we didn’t know was that the roads after the mountain and multiple highways were under a foot of snow and most were closing due to the current and upcoming weather conditions. A longer story short, we had to travel 30 miles and 3 hours on these chains to finally make it to our destination! These chains saved the day and do your self a favor and grab a set. ... show more

I cannot speak to the durability of this item BUT they go on like a dream. Myself and my 13year old son put them on in <5 min (him on one tire me on the other.) No need to turn the wheel or roll forward. As far as traction.. no problem. We skooted over donner pass on i80 just before they closed it and felt safe and secure In my Honda pilot. Taking them off was even easier. I only used them on 1 trip to the snow and they held up fine, but like I said, I cannot speak to their long term durability. So far….highly recommend. ... show more

I love these chains! I bought them in anticipation of the predicted snow/ice storm at the end of January. I used the dry day before the storm to install them so I would be ready to go if I needed to get out. My daughter is a Nurse, and I knew she would have a hard time getting to work if it got really icy, and I might be needed for a ride. Here are my observations: - On my F-150 2wd, they were a little harder to put on than the video made it seem. I think this was mainly due to the size of the tire, and lack of clearance because I don't have any lifts. -I was glad there was a video, because the written instructions were a little unclear on how to bring the chains over the tire after connecting the yellow and blue ends. -I had no problems getting the tension right, either with the hooked end and the tenisioner. -The tensioner works great! I had no issues with loosening after driving on either snow, hard ice, or bare road. -I haven't quite figured out how I want to deal with the fact that around Richmond VA, they clear the main roads immediately, but the neighborhood roads are ignored. I need the chains at both ends of the trip, but not the middle. I wouldn't drive very far on bare pavement, as with any chains. -chains worked fantastic on the hard,hard 3 inches of frozen sleet that wouldn't even dent under my truck. The chains gave a nice bite. I don't think any of the plastic zip-tie type would work at all on the ice we have right now! ... show more

Easy to install and take off. HK130 fit my Dodge sprinter 2004 2500 tires perfectly. Tested getting up ski hill in snowstorm where I previously got stuck last year. Bought some rubber tensioners for the middle so they would self adjust and be tighter.

These chains are great! I have owned many sets of chains over the years and so far, these are the Best! Easy to install. No more rolling over them to install. I installed these in the garage and never moved the truck. I love the self tightening mechanism!!! I am buying another set for the front!

My first time installing snow chains was successful installing but not much instruction given by the maker on how to remove the chains. I had to use a jack to elevate one tire to remove the chain but the system installs as advertised and I recommend it.

Out of all the chains I looked for my car I’m so glad I went with these chains. I have a 2022 Kia Soul and it doesn’t do great in the snow even though the FWD was supposed to help. With these chains they helped me get through some thick snow and icy snow too safely because of the extra traction. They fit just perfect for my tires, just make sure to find the right size for yours with the guide provided in the image of the product. I will say make sure you use for lots of areas of snow because once you hit an area with no snow or slush they sound really loud and probably with loosen some parts in your car if you go over 20mph, but as long as you’re in snow they’re fine. So far I’ve used them for the last couple of storms and they have lasted so far. ... show more

    • Extremely hard to get off especially in adverse weather

Used them once and threw them in the trash. Pretty easy to install but very hard to uninstall, especially in the snow. After unclipping the three fasten points one of them still got wrapped around my axel and brake line and took me like 30 min to figure out how to untangle it while I’m laying in the snow and slush getting soaked.
