The media could not be loaded. I just dabble and am in no way trying to become a professional, and I've tried many different machines now. This only comes with the pen, but fortunately I’ve built up quite a supply of consumables, so lack of accessories isn’t an issue. I’d suggest waiting on this machine until you’ve reached an intermediate level and are ready to work with real skin. The on/off, depth adjustments, and speed fine-tuning were fairly easy and self-explanatory. The gun is more involved than others I’ve had, with more adjustment features for different usage modes and has a very sensitive adjustable needle depth, which really helps when you're still trying to master how far to hold the gun to get the right skin depth (1-2 mm). There are options for battery (2 separate battery packs included) or rotary power, for added versatility and usage time, and multiple functions for different stroke styles. I still don't feel confident working on actual skin, so I'm still just practicing with skins and intermittently shading in some decades-old scars from an old accident to try it out on actual skin. This machine was easy to handle and allows for steady handling and an even and consistent depth, and the needle didn't hurt any more than professional tattoos. The ink was deposited evenly over the scar tissue area and is healing evenly. The machine is easy to grip and hold, and has a comfortable, balanced weight to it. I love the bright green color as well. The skin trauma was no worse than any of the professional tattoos I've ever gotten, and the healing went by without a hitch, though it was itchier than normal as expected due to the tattoo being done over a keloid scar. Overall, this is a very user-friendly machine for someone in the intermediate phases of learning tattooing and is an excellent value for the cost.

I love the Mast Flip4 Pro. It is easily one of the most versatile pens I’ve ever used. The weight of this machine is perfect and feels very well-balanced in your hand. The most amazing feature of this pen is the ability to adjust among 7 different strokes lengths: 2.5, 2.9, 3.2, 3.5, 3.8, 4.1, 4.5mm. In case you’re unfamiliar, long stroke lengths of 4.0mm+ are typically only used for lining, as they pack in ink with hard-hitting strokes. Long strokes pull the boldest lines in a single pass. Medium stroke lengths of 3.5mm can perform a little bit of everything. It’s most commonly used for color packing and shading. And short stroke lengths of 1.8mm-2.5mm are perfect for soft shading and blending work. Tattoo artists who specialize in hyperrealism and black & grey count on soft stroke lengths a lot to get those smooth, seamless blends. The upgraded Mcore-C1.1 is fairly quiet and the vibration is very smooth even at higher voltage settings. The low vibration makes it comfortable to hold for long sessions. The battery lasts a long time on a single charge, but I love that it comes with 2 batteries so you have a back up in case you need it. The pen came in a sealed box. The presentation is very classy, as seems typical with the Mast brand. The pen and components seem solidly engineered, robust, and easy to use and clean. The Flip4 is marketed as a professional level pen. I can only comment as a hobbyist, but it does seem to have a lot of strengths that might appeal to an intermediate or beyond user. Pros: As mentioned earlier, this is a robust, well engineered machine, and feels very balanced and maneuverable. The grip tapers down wide. This isn’t preferable for me, I prefer the diameter of my Racer Pro, but the wider grip works well for bigger hands than mine. The display is simple and easy to read. It has a timer, battery level, voltage indicator, and a Bluetooth icon (for a pedal, not included). I did need a magnifying glass for the booklet however! It doesn’t have memory modes, something that maybe a pro would use. The motor is the quietest and smoothest I have ever used. My Racer Pro, which I reviewed already, is very quiet, and this one is even quieter! It is has amazingly minimal vibrations. The output on the practice skin was very sleek. This is not an inexpensive pen, at almost two hundred dollars. It does come with a second battery and a RCA adaptor. It seems like it could be a dedicated pen for a hobbyist for sure, and the upgraded performance makes the price seem more reasonable, as long as the longevity is there. I will update if there is any issues with battery or motor life.
