Replaced my old awning fabric with this and the difference is noticeable right away. Material feels thicker and more durable than what came stock on my RV. Held up fine in sun and a couple of rainy days so no complaints there. Also looks a lot better — nice clean upgrade. Install is the only real downside. Not impossible, just more of a hassle than expected. Definitely easier with two people and the instructions don’t help much. Overall, once it’s on, it does exactly what you want. Just be ready to put in a little work to get there.

Very thick and heavy duty replacement RV awning fabric. This is actually not a woven fabric awning, but a five ply vinyl with an attractive ombré design and not just one color. It is an attractive model which is waterproof, UV resistant which helps with durability and being solid, five ply vinyl, you have nearly 100% blackout. There are some critical measurements which you should make before ordering the size which might help you from unnecessarily returning and reordering. Look at your RV awning frame. Kind of like measuring sink faucets with two handles as you are measuring from center of hole to center of hold. In this case you are measuring center of frame to center of frame. If that measurement is 16 feet you order the size of 16 feet. It is not the measurement of your existing fabric width, which is less. If you do that, you will end up with the wrong fabric and be unable to install. Another comment that I make is that this is not an easy job and I would recommend before you start, you have available three or four very strong people who can handle heavy objects while standing on a sturdy ladder. Or, this may be a job which you hire a handyman to help you. The weight of the vinyl uninstalled for me is over 20 pounds. Coupled with the frame materials, this is a very heavy unit and you may need three or four people for parts of it.

I got this awning fabric replacement to refresh the awning on an RV, and the material feels much heavier than the old one I removed. That said, my RV is from 1996 so it's possible the original fabric feels more flimsy than it was originally due to UV damage over the years. The fabric of this replacement has a solid feel to it, and it seems like it will handle sun and weather better than thinner material. When unrolling it, the stitching looked neat and consistent, which gave me some confidence while installing it. Installing it took some time, but that’s expected with awning fabric, and it lined up the way it should once everything was in place. The size matched what I ordered, and it fed into the track without any major problems. Once installed, it looked clean and gave the RV a more updated appearance. So far it seems to do what it’s supposed to do and looks like it will last through regular use. The heavier feel of the material makes it seem more durable than the worn fabric it replaced. For replacing an older awning cover, this has been a solid upgrade and made the RV look a lot better.

Studied up on replacement fabrics for RV awnings and learned that they are always short of the claimed length, usually by 6". Terrific, I ordered 12ft. expecting 11'6" or so. Recieved 10'2" and my order history shows 11ft. There was/is some sort of mistake in the order system because I completed expected 12ft. (11'6") The splash color fade is complimentary to our RV's artwork and brings a modern feel to an older vehicle. The "fabric" is thick and feels like a durable heavy duty vinyl. The plastic guide cables slide into the ends perfectly and make preperation easy. The fabric is designed to be roller end specific which is setup to recieve two plastic guide wires instead of just one like the top.
