These logs are garbage. Installed by a licensed plumber. The logs began to break down, emitting soot throughout the room. no one answers the phone at the manufacturer. I registered my complaint with Amazon on 2different occasions. Amazon told me that the manufacturer would contact me with 2 days. It has been 3 weeks Now I have to buy another set & pay for installation. Also the room must be cleaned & painter. Amazon does not protect their customers.

This product worked well until it didn't. 7 months into the year, right when winter started, It seems the received for the remote is not working anmore. I called the company since it would be covered under warranty to discover that a chinese company is selling their products on Amazon. That company's website is defunct even though they list the correct phone number for Americangaslog (singular) - Chinese added an "S". I am trying to purchase the part to fix my logs so I do not have to disconnect and return for a refund to Amazon.

This unit can't control the height of flames. Has only 1large flame on each side of t he logs. Would be better to have low flames all the way across the logs
