I just think it is hilarious to watch my kitten play with these toys. They are good quality, so you don’t have to worry about your cat chewing them open and they have a satisfying crunch sound my kitten loves.

The media could not be loaded. I just thought these murder weapon-style catnip toys were too funny and had to get them for the kitty in my life. The toys are inside a plastic bag with an adhesive strip to keep it closed, which is inside a box that is also wrapped, so the smell was pretty powerful as the toys came out of the box. The toys are larger than I figured they’d be, and easy to hold in a hand. When I tried the knife toy out on my little tester he went nuts immediately, holding it with his front paws as he bit it, and giving it lots of bunny kicks. The crinkly material inside the toys adds a little more interest as well. This level of engagement lasted for about 5 minutes. I imagine every cat will react differently to catnip toys. This cat has had similar responses to catnip toys before—while it is new and fresh he goes wild for it, and for subsequent plays he can get into it for shorter periods but it won’t be anything like that initial reaction. The whole toy was wet from his chewing after his first 5-minute bout with it; his drool appears to have dampened the effect of the catnip so he wasn’t as affected by repeat exposures. He still played with it a little the following day but just didn’t seem all that interested. This tracks with the behavior he’s shown with other catnip toys in the past so again, I think it comes down to the individual cat. It definitely makes me glad I left the other three toys wrapped up in the bag though; we’ll be able to space them out a bit and get more use. I think these toys are a hoot. The designs are funny and they even offer something to cats who don’t react to catnip thanks to the crinkly material inside each toy.

I saw this and had a good laugh. I just knew that I needed cat toys shaped like bloody weapons. And sure enough, the cats loved them too. All of them took turns grabbing the bloody kitchen knife and rolling around with it, kicking it, tossing it, and generally getting catnip goofy over it. My cats don't tend to walk around with toys in their mouths but if I can catch them doing so I'll happily add some pictures to this review. As for now they're quite happy tossing the "weapons" around which - as was the intention - creates a highly amusing juxtaposition of sweet kitty with murderous intent. Even the box that these come in is hilarious. The toys are solidly made, no rips or loose threads or anything like that. They're sturdy little puff toys that all of my cats enjoy. Anyone who has a sense of macabre humor and loves cats should grab these. I bet they'd be a huge hit at places like Hot Topic as well. Very unique and fun toy that my cats and I both get a kick out of.

The two mysteries I live with are hard to pin down when it comes to toys that make noise; they love dove coos but hate mousey chirps, they are afraid of the vacuum but thunder is silent, and crinkly things are either a yay or a nay depending on how loud they are. These are perfect - it is a subtle crinkle, but still enough to get them curious. The catnip is also smellable (to me) and our catnip gremlin spent about an hour slobbering on the little knife so I'm guessing he can smell it too. Even the non-catnip gremlin loved it and rubbed on it (which he only does with one single other toy, so yay! new snuggling toy!). They are also hysterical looking, and no matter how much I tried to hold it in, I could not stop laughing at some tiny furry guy monching on the handle of a fake bloody knife. Just hysterical. I will say though, they do look startling in the dark, so warn your roommates / family if you get them! Overall, a big hit with two picky and strange kitties, and super cute if you like a little dark / spooky vibe.

Oh these are in such bad taste, I had to get them! Knowing how much cats love catnip toys, it was worth a try...and they do really like these. These seem like they'd be fitting on a Halloween episode of a sitcom, I do laugh at them every day. They don't look at all real, believe me, they look cartoon-ish. And, as I said, the cats love them for the catnip and crinkle factors.

We have a ton of cat toys. The cats do play with these, but they aren't crazy about them, these are apparently just ok. But, the packaging is very cute and the product is fun. When the cats do play with these, it does always look hilarious. They smell strongly of catnip and my cats were interested when they arrived. They do crinkle as advertised. I think if they were all a little smaller, they might get more use.

How could you not get these if you have a murder kitty in your house? Or just a regular kitty who's fond of catnip. These cat-sized bloody weapons are perfect for anyone with a sense of (dark) humor. You get 4- approximately 6.5-7" toys. They're all fabric so there are no little bits for the cats to chew off. And they are made with everything cats love: catnip, silvervine, and crunchy sounds. Our cats love catnip, so they loved these. They have a pretty strong smell right out of the package, so they must contain a decent amount of catnip and/or silvervine. I was unfamiliar with silvervine so here's a short description so you don't have to look it up: "Silver vine, otherwise known as Actinidia polygama, is native to the mountainous regions of China, Japan, and Russia. It’s a member of the kiwi family. In a 2017 study, almost 80% of cats were responsive to silver vine versus 68% of cats that responded to catnip. Approximately 75% of the cats that were unresponsive to catnip were responsive to silver vine." So maybe it's a double whammy of kitty fun.
