Installation was easy. I didn't have a vacuum pump so I got the one at harbor freight and it worked fine other than I had to get 3/8 to 5/16 adaptors on Amazon and worked fine. Unit works well, it is pulling water out of the air very well. Very quiet inside and out. For the money it beats everything else I've seen. This is for the 18,000btu unit. Unit is pre charged, just vacuum out the line and it's ready to go. Make sure it hold vacuum before you open the valves. ... show more

Absolutely a great product at a really good price. It is not too heavy & comes well packaged. I have been using both heating & cooling for about a month and it is working perfectly. It gets really cold! It is also very quite, inside and out. At 1st I thought the outdoor unit compressor wasn't running, but it was. Do yourself a favor & get the wall bracket kit for the outdoor unit, sold separately, it is worth it. You will need an HVAC expert to install as the evaporator & line set need evacuated & leak checked prior to opening the service valves which releases the refrigerant charge into them. fins damaged in delivery, lines are not precharged. ZERO instructrions. missing hardware. poorly designed that you never on a stud for installation. you have to you use more brackets or only attach to 1 stud. the 120v wire is super thin. i dont even want to install this

This unit is perfect for a medium size space. It's super quiet, and effective. As far as it being DIY, if you're handy with things like this, have a general knowledge of how this unit works, how to mess with copper tubing as to not kink it or strip the threads, and how to do electrical it is very much so DIY. If you don't have the confidence that you can install it you're probably best to have it done. The instructions do not show how to get the cover off the inside unit but a quick Google search and it's easy to do. Also they don't show how to switch from C° to F° but if you scan the QR code in the manual it will tell you how. They also don't show the step to open the valves on the outside unit to release the freon into the system after vacuuming so don't forget to do this step. Other than those couple of things it was super easy for me to install myself with no help and we are very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it. ... show more

So it’s been installed and it works great. Aside from the lack of Wi-Fi capabilities and not being pre-charged like it explained in the description that it was, I can say that it works the way it’s supposed to as far as cooling and dehumidifying. I’ve changed my three stars to four stars. If the Wi-Fi actually was a feature and if it came refrigerant, pre-charged in the line sets I would give it five stars. I’ll start by saying there’s a lot of false advertising. In the description, it says that these lines come pre-charged and easy to install so any homeowner can DIY but as soon as you receive the equipment, the first thing it says in all of the paperwork is “needs professional Installer“. The lines do not come pre-charged and it is not Wi-Fi capable. That being said, we will see what it does with 350 ft.² of space. We just had to leave the local hardware store to get conduit, a breaker and eight gauge wiring. I don’t know what to say about value for what I paid as of yet. After having to stick it on a vacuum and wiring everything correctly, we’ll see. Not having the ability to DIY with pre-charged line sets and not having Wi-Fi capabilities or correct sized wiring so far has been a let down. If it can’t keep up with the heat in 350 sqft of space, we will send it back. ... show more

Not hard to DIY installation your self. It comes pre charged which is awesome. But you do need know like basic electrical and will need vacuum pump to vacuum the line before opening the value. You will need to do a soap water test to check for leaks also. Over all high recommend. Works great coils and heats. The temperature is in C instead of F so you may have to google what temperature to set it on. ... show more
