The video is pixilated and the unit itself is made of a hard plastic. It is very light and a little cheap looking. It is not as fascinating or interesting as the ad makes it look. You are better off with a regular traditional microscope or spend the extra money and get a good quality digital microscope. Would not buy it again. Does not hold children's interest very long

The media could not be loaded. This 1600X digital microscope been a fun and educational gadget for my kids. The 4K 4.0" screen makes it easy for them to see details without having to squint through an eyepiece, which is a big plus for younger children. The included slides and accessories make it ready to use right out of the box, we were looking at onion skin and leaf samples within minutes. Image quality is surprisingly clear for a children’s microscope, and the zoom range is impressive for its price. The sturdy base keeps it stable, and the controls are simple enough for my 3 year old to use independently after a short explanation. That said, the plastic construction feels a bit lightweight, so I’d advise some supervision with younger kids. The built-in screen brightness could also be a little better under strong lighting. This microscope designed for children was an immediate success with my kids. My eldest child, who is ten years old, quickly mastered its use, while her slightly younger friends, aged eight and nine, were able to follow along with relative ease. Although it is simpler than a traditional microscope, it also possesses the capability to capture photographs and record videos of their discoveries, which I find highly beneficial. While we own a more expensive microscope, this one is actually quicker to set up and produces a sharper image, believe it or not. It serves as an excellent tool for children to learn and explore the world around them.

The HEWEIMEI 1600X Microscope for Kids was an immediate hit with my kids. They have been playing under the trees in our backyard for the last few weeks so I though it would be a perfect time to look closer at the world around them. My oldest (9) figured it out quickly, and my younger two (6, 7) did well with her help. It's much easier than a traditional microscope, though you don't get the same effect. For kids it's great, and with the coupon it's a good value.

This is more than a microscope, it's a portable digital lab for kids. The ability to take pictures and record videos of our discoveries is fantastic.
