The only issue I have with it is I have all the dials maxed out where my big system I barely have anything turned up, I bought this thinking it would be good, and for the space saving. It does give some bass but you have to turn it all up

I used to install car audio back in the late 80s until the early 00's. and that is before auto manufactures started installing these types of foam insulators. Cause of the way most door panels are designed, the manufactures started installing these to keep your cars audio dbs sound into the car and not leaking out of it. I read most of these reviews for these foam rings, and one stood out about the companies installing cheap made speakers and using these to compensated for basically ripping off the consumer. I have to disagree there, cause not every company did that for those reasons, and there are alot of companies who had legal contracts with auto manufactures with high quality audio companies such as JBL/MONSOON/HARMON KARDON/ALPINE just to name a few who still used these foam rings on their speakers. I have an early 2000 with a BOSE sound system with 6.5 speakers that use these rings, and they are very true to the size of the stock speakers. I have to replace my old worn out front door panels very soon due to old age, and when I do , I am definitely going to buy more of these, cause I have several autos that need these as well. In the END: It's just a shame that when I used to install car audio before I started working on cars. Those cars that I used to install car audio in were from the 60s and 70s, and they never had anything like this to keep the audio inside the car and not leaking out of it. When it came to installing car audio in those cars back then, meant you had to get more power out of your amps, buying more speakers, and customization in cutting metal. When I first started seeing these foam filter foam rings on speakers, you can really tell the difference in db filters, and they make the speakers direct that sound more forward into the cars door panels making the look more professional.

If you're upgrading your sound system, foam rings to seal the drivers to the door card are the biggest gain in sound quality per dollar you can get. There's a reason why OEMs who try to get the best sound possible out of the cheaper components possible don't skip these, so why do so many people not use them when installing aftermarket speakers? As for these particular rings, honestly I'm impressed. I have used foam rings in other installs in the past and these are nicer. There's really just 2 components to these and they nail both. The adhesive - it's 3m paper backed adhesive, the best you can get that will stay on the basket of the driver for years to come. The foam - is a conforming "memory foam" type material that feels more premium than others I have used. It's heavier and softer than other rings. Does it translate to noticeably better sound quality, I'm not sure, but it certainly feels more premium in the hand. The foam is cut great and perfectly sized for a 6.5" driver. Overall these are an amazing value. They cost the same as other rings but feel much more premium and function great. I have never heard of this brand before but will definitely be keeping them in mind for sound treatment materials on future installs. If you slapped a more well known brand on these and charged 30 bucks a pair people wouldn't question it.

Door speaker upgrades that sounded promising at the shop but lost something in the actual car had been the pattern until adding these foam rings to the install revealed how much low-end response was being lost to the door cavity behind the speaker. The foam baffle creates an enclosure effect behind the cone that tightens the bass response and improves midrange definition in a way that is immediately noticeable from the first track after installation. Self-adhesive backing makes the installation clean and permanent without needing a separate adhesive that might cause compatibility issues with door materials. The two pack covers a standard front or rear door speaker pair without a second order, and the 6.5 inch sizing fits the most common aftermarket speaker diameter without trimming or modification. Sound deadening improvement is real rather than marginal, reducing door resonance and rattles that bleed into the listening experience on bass-heavy material. Installation added about ten minutes to a standard speaker swap and the improvement in sound quality has been worth more than parts that cost considerably more. A simple and effective upgrade that most speaker installations skip and should not.
