Cool idea, but only occasionally useful
I spend a significant portion of the summer months camping in my travel trailer, and I like to hang up a number of solar string lights for nighttime illumination. I generally hang the lights wherever I can find a spot to clip them to, but when I saw this set of awning hooks, I thought they might be just the thing I needed to make hanging the lights easier. The awning hooks arrived quickly, and seem to be built out of sturdy enough materials. When I went to install them onto my trailer, I realized that these hooks are better in theory than in practice. First issue- where I camp, in wide open spaces or up canyons, there is typically a good amount of wind that blows- usually early in the morning or late in the evening. To keep my awning from getting trashed by the wind, I always retract it at least part of the way before I go to bed. I have to get up on a ladder to reach my awning to slide these hooks into place, and then I have to get back on the ladder to remove them before I can roll up the awning before I go to bed. Overall- just too much work for the short-term benefit of having an easy place to hang my lights. Overall, these are a nice product, and depending on your circumstances, they could be a very useful addition to your camping routine. The just don't work that well for my routine.

Perfect for most awnings
We used these on our old camper and they were great! We could roll the awning back in without having to take the hooks out. Made it so much easier in set up and breakdown. Unfortunately our new camper doesn't have the same fit for these or any other hooks for lighting. Check your awning first if it has a slide in the valance end, you should be good to go.

Nice, strong Hooks
Due to poor assembly of my awning, I cannot get these in the slots and there is no work-around. That being said, I have no doubt that they will work to hang all but the heaviest loads from your awning roller. My issue is not a fault of the manufacturer of these hooks.
