This honey bucket kit has everything you need for harvesting honey, except for an extractor of course. The honey bucket is made of polypropylene (PP #5) and is food safe. The bail (handle) is made of plastic and seems flimsy at first, but it is strong enough for lifting and carrying the bucket when filled with water. The bucket holds 20 liters which is a little more than 5 gallons. The two piece strainer is made of stainless steel and good quality. There are two honey gates included in the kit. The honey gate is easy to install in the bucket. The opening in the bucket is a little rough, but can easily be sanded smooth before installing. There is an uncapping knife and uncapping fork included and also a frame stand that goes on the bucket. This makes it easy to uncap honey frame if you don't have an uncapping tank. There are 50 pairs of gloves included, which is nice when handling sticky frames. The refractometer comes with calibration liquid set at 73. It can also be calibrated with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I used both for comparison and it is spot on. I highly recommend this honey harvesting kit for anybody just getting started or for those who needs more equipment.

I am quite pleased with this package deal honey bucket. For the price you get a large package of gloves (unfortunately of unknown material - I avoid latex as people sometimes have allergies), two honey gate valves, uncapping knife and fork, bucket lids tool, brix honey moisture tester, and uncapping stand. Oh AND a metal screen for filtering your honey. Just the bucket, screen, brix scale, and comb stand would easily cost $85 individually. Bucket feels sturdy and has a nice lid. Looking forward to filling this up in the fall.

Nice to have all you need to get your honey in a single purchase! Comes with a food-grade bucket already 'holed' for the valve, frame comb and holder, and a few other items that are all needed as you try to harvest the honey. Strainers help you also keep your product clean when pouring, so this is an all-in-one needed item for those bee keepers who want honey!

This 10-piece harvesting beekeeping tool kit is an investment worth making, especially since it includes the five-gallon bucket and valves! The materials might not be top-tier, but they're of good quality. Everything has a function and works as it should. The valve is easy to install and holds well. The honey gate works well. The 5-gallon bucket is the perfect size to store all of the tools when they're not in use. The sieve rests securely on the bucket! The price is reasonable!
