  • Solid durable rope for weekend tree work or tool hauling
Size: Red
I’ve got a lot of large oak trees on my property, and thanks to windstorms and natural aging, there’s always something that needs pruning, clearing, or taking down before it turns into a real hazard. For climbing and positioning work, I’ve been using a 1/2-inch, 48-strand nylon climbing rope paired with my Petzl Rig. The Rig gives me dependable control when I’m ascending or locking off in the canopy, and I appreciate how solid the rope feels in that setup. I like the way nylon performs—it has a bit more stretch, which gives a dynamic feel when I’m moving around in the tree. That slight give can help absorb motion when I shift my weight or swing into position, especially on longer climbs. The rope’s outer sheath is tightly woven and holds up well against abrasion—I’ve dragged it across rough bark, wrapped it around stubs, and even let it dry out after a few rainy sessions without seeing any fraying, glazing, or stiffness. It’s not just for climbing either—I use it to haul tools and cut branches too. It holds knots securely but isn’t so stiff that tying off in awkward spots becomes a pain. Coiling it at the end of the day takes a bit of effort, but I’d rather deal with that than fight a rope that twists and kinks. I can also run it through my Black Diamond belay device without any issues, which gives me flexibility depending on the situation. For climbing, rigging, and just staying upright when the wind starts rocking those big limbs—this rope has earned my trust. ... show more

  • Nice solid rope
Size: Red
This rope is a nice overall! I bought this rope for general use around the house—tying down tarps, light hauling, and a few backyard DIY projects. For the price, it’s actually pretty decent. The material feels sturdy enough and it holds knots well without slipping too much. No fraying or major wear so far after a couple weeks of use. That said, it’s not the kind of rope I’d trust for serious load-bearing or climbing applications. It’s not super thick and doesn’t feel industrial-grade. Also, it came with a bit of a smell out of the package, but that faded after a day or two outside. Overall, it’s a good rope for light to medium tasks. If you just need something reliable for everyday use and aren’t pushing it to the limit, this will do the job just fine. ... show more

  • Very Nice Rope
Size: Red
This is really nice rope! The 1/2" dia is perfect for guiding limbs and trees the way I want them to fall. And the outside sheath of the rope is soft enough to handle well but pretty tough too. I like nylon ropes so I can melt the ends tight if I need to cut them. I like the color choices are bright, I got the red so I dont accidently leave it in the woods and lose it. 150' is a great length for tree felling and it also fits well in my rope winch too. Awesome buy! ... show more

  • Lots of rope for a good price
Size: Red
This road is perfect for the lake with many possible uses. We plan to keep a portion of this on the boat as well as hang the tree swing with it. It is thick, and there is 150 ft. Overall, really good value! It even comes with its own velcro tie to wrap around it for organization.

  • Exactly as advertised. Strong rope.
Size: Red
Very solid rope. We use this stuff for tree swings. Plenty of value in the bag per linear foot. Ties strong.

  • Good quality rope
Size: Red
Got this because we always need extra rope for something or other around the house. Haven’t used yet, but it does seem very sturdy for most rope needs.

  • Good for what it is.
Size: Red
Good for what it is, but let's be clear: this is NOT for towing. The product picture shows it tied to an suv but says "log towing". And yeah, it'll pull logs around. But this is not for towing vehicles. That said, it's a pretty great general-purpose rope. [As a Vine member, Amazon lets me pick from a pool of free products in exchange for my honest review. I call them like I see them--good, bad, or ugly.] ... show more

  • Red = Easy to find when Needed
Size: Red
This 150 ft climbing rope from Kynara is good quality and has a consistent strength and texture. We have a 2 story house with tall peaks. Most of the house is brick. But there are 4 gables and when they need to be painted, my husband puts on his harness and heads over the roof. Usually anchored to a tree or something extremely solid ( that can’t drive away ). My husband chose the red - just in case he didn't get the rope back with his pack, it is easier to find than some colors that seem to hide from us as we get older. ... show more
