I picked this knife set partly because I liked the matte gray-black look, and in person it does look clean and modern on the kitchen counter. More important, though, the pieces have been practical for daily cooking. The handles are comfortable and do not feel too heavy, so they are easy to control for regular prep work. The set covers the basics well, from steak knives to the larger cutting knife and the kitchen scissors. All of them arrived sharp, and so far they have stayed useful through normal home cooking. The block also looks nice without taking over the whole counter. We have even washed some pieces in the dishwasher, and I have not noticed rusting, chipping, or coating problems at this point. That was something I was watching closely because coated blades can sometimes wear poorly.

This knife set has been a helpful addition to the kitchen. The knives feel comfortable to hold, and the anti-slip handles make them easy to control when preparing different ingredients. The set also looks neat on the countertop and keeps everything organized in one place. For everyday food preparation such as slicing vegetables, cutting fruit, or trimming meat, the knives perform well and feel reasonably sharp. These knives are better suited for general kitchen tasks rather than heavy-duty cutting like chopping through bones. This is a good basic knife set and I appreciate that it comes in all black, which is just different enough to stand out. Just know that they *are* basic and only a good value if you can get this set for under $60. The handles are plastic and molded well for a comfortable grip. The stainless steel blades are all labeled according to their purpose, which makes this a good set for young people living independently for the first time. The block is compact and doesn't take up too much counter space. All the blades I've used so far are very sharp. I appreciate that a sharpener is built right into the block. I've sliced through veggies and meat and got clean cuts without much force. As I said, a nice set. It's not anywhere near premium. The blades are thinner than high quality knives. Each one is light owing to that and the plastic handles, which isn't great for people with great knife skills. Totally fine for the average person. As of me writing this review there's no listed price. These would only be a good value if they cost around $50. Anything much higher would not match the quality of this set. Recommended.

This kitchen set has made cooking so much more fun and simple because it comes with so many useful tools that help with all kinds of food prep, from slicing bread to cutting fruits and meat, and every knife feels very sharp and smooth when cutting which makes the functionality excellent since I do not have to push hard and the cuts come out clean, and I really like the block because it keeps everything neat and also helps keep the blades sharp so they stay ready to use; the handles feel comfortable in my hands and do not slip, so it feels safe and easy to control even when I am moving fast, which makes the ease of use great for everyday cooking, and cleanup is very simple since I can wash them without extra hassle and store them right back in the block to save space; for durability the knives feel strong and well made with a solid coating that looks like it will help keep them from rusting so they should last a long time, and the value for the price is amazing because you get a full set that works well and looks nice without spending too much, so overall I am very happy with how convenient, reliable, and helpful this set is and I would gladly give it five stars.

I got this 15-piece knife set to replace my old mismatched knives, and it’s been a solid upgrade. It comes with every knife I need, from the chef’s knife to the steak knives, plus kitchen shears. The block looks clean on my counter and doesn’t take up too much space. The blades were sharp right out of the box and cut through veggies and meat smoothly. I’ve sliced tomatoes, bread, and even thicker cuts of meat, and the knives handled everything well. The built-in sharpener in the block is really helpful for keeping the edges sharp. The handles feel comfortable in my hand and give me a steady grip while chopping. After washing, they still look great. I’m really happy with this set.

This knife set looks nice on a countertop, and it gets a second star for its affordable price point, but that's where it ends. Unfortunately, it is unusable for anyone who cooks regularly. I tested several knives, including the straight and curved chef's knife, a pairing knife, and a steak knife. They were too light, and without exception, they did not cut well. The "new" edge is usually the best edge a knife is going to get (especially a budget one), so when they can't cut with their first edge, they're likely never going to be sharper. The standard for whether a knife is sharp is its ability to effortlessly slice a tomato. These knives couldn't do that. I have never seen this with a brand-new knife. The chef's knives also met real resistance cutting through raw carrots and yams. I tried slicing a cooked piece of steak with one of the steak knives, and that was a slog, too - I ended up moving to a different steak knife before I was through. None of my comparison knives were expensive or premium, but they didn't come from sets. At this price point, you're going to be far, far better off buying a single, well-rated chef's knife.

It is beautifully designed from the knife block all the way to the handles and projects and air of exquisite design. The blade material used allows the knives to sharpen easily and stay sharp a long time, even with aggressive use. The handles are super durable and offer a very comfortable grip. This set is perfect for daily use. The knives came very sharp, but I really love the different approach to the knife sharpener that was built into the block, allowing you to quickly refresh the sharpness of the blade fast and easily. I would highly recommend this set for both a starter household as well an established one. Great value for the money!
